The Space

Cosy, comfortable home away from home.
Live on one of the most beautiful canals (Herengracht) and enjoy lots of privacy and a unique atmosphere. Two comfortable rooms en suite in a 17th Century monumental canal house with private entrance – in a great neighbourhood ‘The Nine Streets’.
This stylish apartment has one bedroom, a living room with kitchen and a large modern private bathroom with bath and shower. It’s on the third floor of a beautiful canal house. There is no elevator so the stairs will keep you in shape ;)
Cosy cafés, restaurants and nice specialty shops are just around the corner. The wonderful apartment and building have recently been completely renovated.

Check In
  • (email hidden) to come and stay! Though we never had the opportunity to meet Lisa or Peter Paul, we loved the space and the gift baskets they left for us (they live in an apartment next door!)

The space is extremely clean, and is only two canals away from the Dam Square at the heart of the city, and one block away from the Anne Frank House. For those who have never been to Amsterdam during the summer, don't be worried about the lack of air conditioning. We went during the first week in July, and it got down to the mid-50s (12C) at night, and around 70 (21C) during the day.

(email hidden) in a beautiful location with extremely gracious hosts. We would recommend this space to anyone who wants a quiet, clean, and convenient space to stay in Amsterdam!

  • I booked this apartment for my boyfriends 30th birthday. I wanted to stay somewhere a bit more special than a hostel and this apartment did not fail. It was ideally located, not too far from the busy streets but still very quiet and peaceful. Everything we needed for the weekend was provided for in the apartment. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit Amsterdam and my boyfriend and I can't wait to return. Thanks very much for making our weekend one to remember.

  • The apartment could not have been in a more central (or beautiful!) location! We felt right at home and enjoyed eating leisurely dinners we prepared at the flat while looking out on to the rooftops of nearby buildings as the sun set (at 10:30 PM!!) Our hosts, who live right next door, were very thoughtful and kind and often left us goodies outside outside for us to enjoy after a long day of biking around the city and its surroundings. Yes, it is true what many people say. It is a bit of a hike up the several steep flights of stairs to get to the apartment but I promise it is worth it! Plus, you can consider it as exercise to work off all the cheese you will inevitably eat during your stay here :) Two thumbs up!

  • You must book this Apartment if coming to Amsterdam.
Peter Paul was there to meet us at 7.30am ... We had come in off an early flight.
We walked from Central Station ... An easy 15minute walk.
The Apartment is up many stairs but Peter Paul carried both our bags up.
On Opening the door we were thrilled to see it looked just as the photos on the site.
It was clean, good cooking facilities , great bathroom with washer & dryer.
Peter Paul had left us lots of goodies to eat & drink.
    An fantastic Airbnb experience ......

  • Awesome we stayed three nights in Amsterdam and would return to the same apartment. It is very small but you really dont need any more room there is 60 stairs straight up and I hate stairs but it wasnt to bad and would do it again bed was comfy and they helped with carrying the luggage up and down the stairs. Bathroom was spotless and huge and it was great to have a washer and dryer. This apartment is in the best possible area away from the hussle and bustle of dam square but in reach of everything.

  • Thank you a lot guys for such a lovely stay in your apartment. It is perfectly located in the city centre, well equipped and cozy. You've been very kind to us. Specially, thank you for the breakfast as well as the goodies; it was delicious and such a great way to say "welcome".

  • We had a wonderful trip to Amsterdam. The apartment was exceptionally well placed in the nicest bit of town and we were able to visit all the places that we wanted on foot.

Lisa and Peter Paul checked with us before we set off to make sure everything was all right and Lisa was there to meet us when we arrived. She could not have been nicer; warm, friendly and very helpful. Lisa had left wine, biscuits and a supply of coffee and even provided breakfast on our first morning. We felt very well looked after. Lisa and Peter Paul live next door and made it clear that we should ask if we needed anything at all. In the event we needed nothing and they kindly left us alone which was exactly what we wanted. The apartment had everything that we needed and was very comfortable. We went out to eat about half the time and cooked for ourselves the other half. The Noordermarkt on Saturday was a wonderful source of top quality ingredients and there were very good supermarkets close by.

We would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment. We had a perfect trip and we wouldn't even consider booking a different apartment next time we come.
