About This Listing
Our newly restored barn is a very big open space, with exposed stones has a true country feeling. It confortably fits 3, with 6 meters tall ceilings, the bedroom is placed on a mezzanine over a big living room with pellet stove, kitchen and bathroom
This is the old barn of a big property sitting on 1 and half hectares of olive grove that we renovated recently. My daughter moved in as soon as it was finished but is now off to university so you are welcome to come and stay.
The property is in the beautiful Velletri countryside, surrounded by vineyards and fruit trees. You need a car to move around. The station is at 3.5 km where you can catch a train that takes you straight to the center of Rome in 55 minutes. The area is ideal if you like mountain biking or trekking, I can give you tips as I am myself a mountain lover and cyclist!
Interaction with Guests
October is the month of olive picking in our area. Come and stay with us for a minimum of three nights and join us if you wish for a day of olive picking and a trip to the local frantoio to look at the olive pressing.
The surrounding area offers many possibilities for those who enjoy the outdoors and nature: characteristic villages and towns can be found perched on the nearby Lepini mountain range (Rocca Massima, Cori, Sermoneta, Segni); natural parkland and lakes are within ten to thirty minutes drive (The Regional Park of the Castelli Romani with the Monte Artemisio summit and the Lepini mountain range with the Monte Lupone summit) offering even sports lovers ample opportunities for nature treks on foot or MTB; for lovers of the sun, sand and salt water, we are situated a convenient distance from the best beaches of the central Lazio coastline (Circeo, Sabaudia, and further to the south Sperlonga and Terracina); at not more than twenty minutes in the car, you can find the lakes of Castel Gandolfo and Nemi; otherwise, lose yourselves on an enogastronomic adventure from town to town in the Castelli Romani (Genzano, Ariccia, Albano, Rocca di Papa).
To get around you would really need a car, but if you are only coming for a short time and you only want to stay here or visit Rome, we offer lifts to and from the station at the rate of 10 euros.
