Lovely modern apartment; bathroom, bedroom and kitchen very nice, living room and facilities in particular were great. Hosts communication very good. Enjoyed our visit and would stay again.
We rented this apartment, with the 2nd bedroom, for our family of 4 adults over Christmas. It's modern interior, comfortable lounges & large screen TV made it perfect for those days when we wanted to be inside. It's light, has a fabulous shower, well equipped kitchen, great heating, fast wifi & comfortable beds.
We did unfortunately experience an angry neighbour on the first morning complaining of the supposed noise we were making in the kitchen when we were getting breakfast.
Mampol was very apologetic & she was great at communication despite being out of the country.
Really enjoyed my stay. All the booking went smoothly. As others have noted the entrance is via a metal stairway but this did not cause a problem. The flat was very clean, very comfortable and the TV etc all worked fine. Position re buses shops etc was perfect for me. Would definitely stay again.
The place was PERFECT! The owner left easy directions and was available for questions. The apartment itself was clean, bright and airy! Plenty of space to stretch out and not feel cramped. The location was superb! An easy walk into town for food, pubs, sights and shopping. Only caution is that the kitchen is directly above neighbors bedroom.
Lovely apartment, bright, spacious, very clean, homely with all the mod cons and equipment you could need for your stay. Summertown is a great location - very quiet and its on a sidestreet. Lovely shops, a few nice restaurants, takeouts and wine bars and supermarkets all within a 5 min walk. Then an easy bus or walk into Oxford centre. Access to the apartment is by a code, so no need to worry about keys. You won't meet the owner but all correspondence is very prompt, friendly and always happy to help with advice. Useful pack inside the apartment on how to work everything, places to see etc. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and only accessible at the back of the property by external stairs, so pack lightly!
The apartment was as described and depicted, luxurious, spacious yet homely. It was only 15 minutes walk into the centre of Oxford, and the high Summertown high street just around the corner with great places to eat. I'd happily stay there again.
Extremely disappointing indeed. We stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a University degree ceremony. The landlord did not meet us at any time; correspondence was all via email and access was via a key code. We only received full details just before our arrival, which I did find a little inconvenient as I was also booking for friends who were staying with us. The flat is lovely once inside but access is via a metal exterior "fire escape" staircase which was not detailed in the description - it just mentions the property is on the second floor, which is a bit misleading. This is very exposed in the wind and extremely slippy when wet. We were told parking was available on the property but when we arrived in the pouring rain, the spaces were all taken by other occupants of the building so we had to park on the street and get up at 8am to move the car. The owner made no effort to help with asking neighbours to move their vehicles even though she assured us this was a shared space. The apartment has wooden floors and there is a sign asking guests not to wear their shoes inside. Fair enough and we fully complied with this at all times. Even so, when we put our shoes on to leave the apartment and were arranging coats and scarves, within one minute we had a somewhat confused neighbour from downstairs standing in her pyjamas in the wind and rain complaining to us that she was sick and had been woken up all through the morning because of our presence. The poor lady clearly has some issues but this is hardly the fault of guests. It was ridiculous and made us feel like we couldn't make a sound for the rest of our stay. We paid £170 per night and expected a premium stay in every respect. Sadly, although the flat is a beautiful space, the service and experience proved to be no more than skin deep. To cap it all, my girlfriend had to jump out of the way of a large grey rat that scuttled down the alleyway when we arrived. We would not stay here again, nor would we recommend it to others.
I'm sorry and disappointed you feel that way. Unfortunately, there wasn't much I could do about a rat roaming into an alleyway or call my neighbours to move 3 cars when there is space for 5. I hope all my future guests have a great experience like the rest.
