1 Double bedroom in trendy apt

Apartment - Private room · Rooseveltlaan, Amsterdam, North Holland 1078, Netherlands

The Space

This spacious, trendy and clean 100m2 apartment is in the heart of the 'River Neighborhood (the old Jewish quarters)', just 5 minutes from Amsterdam Rai Convention, meaning you're close enough to the center and in a very nice and quiet area. A lovely warm and cozy place to stay in Amsterdam, especially for Christmas and New Year 2013, or if you're planning to visit the Museum Night on 2nd November. For tips on where to rent bikes and the best restaurants, check our Guidebook.

The building’s architecture is in the authentic "Amsterdamse School" Art Deco style Amsterdam is famous for. And our building block is officially a Monument!

There are two double rooms on different floors. One bathroom with bath and shower. Separate toilet. Modern kitchen with 5-pit stove and dishwasher. We renovated the entire apartment 1,5yr ago, so everything is new and clean.

There is a balcony on the 2nd floor and a 18m2 roof terrace on the top floor for nice morning coffees or evening diners. Wifi, cable TV, coffee/tea, towels, linen, soap etc included.

Please no smoking inside.

Various trams depart to Rai & Amstel train stations and directly into the city center. The trams 4, 12, 25 or bus 62, 65 (public transport) are 1 min away. It is within a 5-minute walk of the Rai Convention center.
From Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, you can grab a train to Rai (15m) and then tram 4 (5m). Taxi will cost between euro 25 -35 (make sure you agree on a price before you get in and only take a ride from a certified taxi driver outside the airport).

We hope you enjoy Amsterdam!

  • Great time in Felice's flat, a very beautiful and warmly place not far from the center of amsterdam (few minutes with tramway). Felice welcome us very well in this luxurious apartment (terrace, appliances, space, big beds...). To renew without hesitation. Nils

  • What a great place to stay! Lovely apartment in a lovely neighbourhood just outside of the city centre. A lot of tram and bus options that get you into the centre within 10-15 mins.

Now living abroad, I was visiting my former hometown and needed my own place to call "home" for a couple of days. This was exactly what I needed... Comfortable, spacious and very nicely decorated. It doesn't get much closer to home than this!

Right from the start, great and clear communication with Felice, the host.

    Highly recommended!

  • Absolutely wonderful house that we really felt at home in. Really comfortable bed and amazing kitchen while also being So close to the tram station which means it only takes 10-15 minutes to get into town. We had a wonderful time and really just wish we had another week there :)

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and it couldn't have gone better. The apartment was just as pictured, and we were so lucky because Felice responded quickly to all my questions before our trip and when we arrived. We arrived early in the morning with no place to put our luggage and she was kind enough to let us check in early to drop off our things.

It was easy to find, and just one train ride into Amsterdam from the airport (it's one of the easiest ways to get in) + tram to her apartment. It didn't take very long to get there maybe 20 minutes travel time, not including wait time or not knowing where to buy tickets or how to get to the train station in the airport, so depending on when the next train or tram arrives, and how long it takes to actually get your bearings to know where to take the train or tram, it could take about an hour, we also went to try to change money so it took us longer.. etc.

All in all it was a wonderful stay, Felice was super helpful, and the house is very clean, and orderly, and made us feel like we were locals, which we wanted, to get that feeling of being apart of the city. I would definitely stay here again!

There is also a great terrace up top and, a nice bath, if you want to relax at the end of the day. Very beautiful indeed.

  • Thanks to Felice I am looking back to a very enjoyable first AirBnB experience. Felice has proven to be a welcoming and caring host. She is very prompt and accurate in her communication and knows how to show you the way around in the neigbourhood. Her appartment is even better than in the pictures. It is neat, cosy, well equiped, spacious and situated in one of the nicest parts of Amsterdam close to the city center. I hope It will be available again during my next trip to Amsterdam.

  • We stayed at this apparent for the Easter weekend and we couldn't have asked for more. The apartment was beautifully clean and very comfortable it had everything you could have wanted. The location is great with some lovely local bars and restaurants, the tram stopped right outside the apartment making it really easy to get into the centre. Would definitely recommend staying here, it was brilliant!

  • We stayed in Felice's apartment for two nights in March. It is the most conveniently located apartment. It really is 5 minutes from Rai station (which is the direct link to Schiphol airport) by the no.4 tram which stops right outside the apartment. The same no.4 tram takes you to the heart of the city in 20 minutes. It was only 15 minutes from the Paradiso music venue where we went. It is perfect.

The apartment itself is amazing. It really does look like a show house, Felice's taste & design is amazing. The bedrooms are large and spacious with clean linens. The kitchen has every utensil you can need. The bathroom is spectacular. The central heating is also really good and heats the house very quickly. The pictures better portray my words.

We met her wonderful sister who showed us where everything was. The town (De Pijp) also felt very safe and is very pleasant. Communication with Felice was also great and she is very understanding to help resolve any issues.

This really is a wonderful apartment and is where I wish to stay again when I return to visit Amsterdam.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.
    Jay

About
A bit about us, we love working hard and filling up our free time with good food (both cooking & eating), visiting new places, and enjoying precious time with our friends. We both work in e-commerce and think this site is a great example of one of many amazing online platforms that brings nice people together. Our favorite travel destinations are: every single one! Well, we havent been everywhere, but we've never been somewhere we didnt love.. Our favorites so far are Asia (ie. Cambodia) and European cities (ie. Rome).. We plan to do a big South America trip soon too! We spent about 5 months renovating our lovely home in the 'River neighborhood' in Amsterdam and really enjoy living here. The blood, sweat, and tears were completely worth it! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do :)
