About this listing
This listing is for a 200 square foot guest room with a Queen sized bed. The house has a large yard, and plenty of parking. This is a 3 bedroom house, I stay in one room, and the other two rooms are available. Easy access to everything - beach, park, shopping, nightlife! This is a 60 year old beach house, it has a lot of charm, and a view of downtown and the bay (fireworks from SeaWorld when the season is right). The house is on the hill and south facing so there is a little extra sun as compared to being right at the beach, where it could be overcast.
This is a very central location for San Diego. Close to the airport & downtown (both within 15 min drive), shopping malls, and tourist attractions. You will find it is really easy to access the freeways and it's very easy to get to the beach.
I have bikes you can borrow. You are welcome to help yourself to fruit, cereal, and juice for breakfast. The kitchen/fridge are available to you, but I do prefer if you don't prepare meat because I am vegetarian. I have nothing against carnivores; I've done my share of carnivoring in my day. You can bring in takeout or have some cold cuts.
I clean all bedding and towels within 24 hours of arrival. I charge a cleaning fee because of the 2-3 loads of laundry it take to turnover the room.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Full kitchen, bathroom, yard, bikes, WIFI.
This is a very safe neighborhood. The house is on one block surrounded by navy housing with 24 hour security. There are no houses on the other side of the street. There is always plenty of parking on the street (which can be a hassle for a lot of beach area homes). The house has a nice view of the bay, downtown, and the Sea World fireworks.
I am quiet after 10pm and I expect the same. No extra guests without my approval. I prefer if there is no meat prepared in the house but you are welcome to bring already cooked meats in.
From Aug 19, 2015 - Jul 30, 2018 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Excellent place. Max is a very welcoming host, he is easygoing, and he is always there to help (although he completely respect their guests privacy). The place is excellent, even better that the pictures. The location is excellent. I fully recommend it.
Max, the room, and the house were all awesome. The location was right where I needed to be. Max was kind, welcoming, and happy just to chill and talk about life in SD.
This was my first Airbnb experience and Max made every part of it enjoyable! The description of the private room, location, and other parts of the house are very accurate. Max offered great advice for local places to grab food and entertainment. He allowed me to check in a few hours before which was great! There was plenty of parking on the street and the location is in a safe neighborhood. I really enjoyed my stay and the company of Max and his friends.
Max is a very nice person~ relaxed and helpful. His place is clean and quiet with a great backyard to chill in. The neighborhood is peaceful and within walking distance to the beach. My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Max's house. Honestly, if we go back to San Diego, we will likely book with Max again.
Max was a very great and laid back host. He has been very friendly and helpful, let us use his bikes to explore the area, explained us a lot of things about Pacific Beach and San Diego. Very well located if you want to surf or even to bike until La Jolla which is a great point ! We really enjoyed our stay and greatly recommend this room!
San Diego was epic! And so was Max's home. It's close to Pacific beach and mission beach and a short bus ride from la jolla.
Max made us feel welcomed. He communicated with us about arrival, and he made sure we had everything we needed.
The room was more spacious than I expected; it was plenty of room for two people.
I don't think anything about his description is inaccurate. If you are worried that he doesn't have 20 pictures of the interior- don't be. It is clean, has great views, and fresh air flows through from the screens.
Parking is also super easy; I can't parallel park (which you kinda need to know how to do in San Diego) and I never had to when we came back to his place.
Would definitely book with him again if he'd have us.
