About This Listing
This listing is for a 200 square foot guest room with a Queen sized bed. The house has a large yard, and plenty of parking. This is a 3 bedroom house, I stay in one room, and the other two rooms are available. Easy access to everything - beach, park, shopping, nightlife! This is a 60 year old beach house, it has a lot of charm, and a view of downtown and the bay (fireworks from SeaWorld when the season is right). The house is on the hill and south facing so there is a little extra sun as compared to being right at the beach, where it could be overcast.
This is a very central location for San Diego. Close to the airport & downtown (both within 15 min drive), shopping malls, and tourist attractions. You will find it is really easy to access the freeways and it's very easy to get to the beach.
I have bikes you can borrow. You are welcome to help yourself to fruit, cereal, and juice for breakfast. The kitchen/fridge are available to you, but I do prefer if you don't prepare meat because I am vegetarian. I have nothing against carnivores; I've done my share of carnivoring in my day. You can bring in takeout or have some cold cuts.
I clean all bedding and towels within 24 hours of arrival. I charge a cleaning fee because of the 2-3 loads of laundry it take to turnover the room.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Full kitchen, bathroom, yard, bikes, WIFI.
This is a very safe neighborhood. The house is on one block surrounded by navy housing with 24 hour security. There are no houses on the other side of the street. There is always plenty of parking on the street (which can be a hassle for a lot of beach area homes). The house has a nice view of the bay, downtown, and the Sea World fireworks.
I am quiet after 10pm and I expect the same. No extra guests without my approval. I prefer if there is no meat prepared in the house but you are welcome to bring already cooked meats in.
Max was a great host and very relaxed, which made for a comfortable atmosphere. This was only surpassed by his friendliness and sincerity. The room was large just as advertised and everything was clean. The location was great as it was within a short distance to some cool bars, the beach, and supermarkets. Parking was a breeze. I highly recommend staying here. Overall it was an great little spot!
Max made me feel very welcome on check-in and throughout my stay. He would periodically check to make sure everything was OK and if I needed anything. The room was perfect and as described (big). Parking was plentiful (and free). Nice backyard patio. Max invited me to one of his band's (Mokoto) gigs at Balboa park which was cool (Thanks again Max). Great overall location - quiet and safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay again.
The host responded promptly to messages. Room was simple and clean. There was also a fan which was nice. The bed was a bit hard, but it worked just fine. He even offered breakfast in the morning which was helpful in our rushed schedule. Smooth experience all around.
Our host, Max was great! He was accommodating, nice, laid-back and all around awesome. He gives you as much or as little attention as you need. Although we were only there for one night his home was comfortable and serene. This was our first AirBNB experience and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We will certainly be booking his home again when in San Diego!
Super relaxed guy, nice room in a great location . By bike its really just 10 minutes to the beach with all the shops and bars.
Everything was fine, I would definitly recommend it.
This was my first airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better. Max was very accommodating during my visit, and I had fun chatting with him about random things. I arrived a lot earlier than what I told him, but he was flexible and was nice enough to let me check in early anyway. The bed was very comfortable and roomy, and he provided a towel for showering, etc. I would definitely stay again with max when I come back to San Diego.
