Coco was a wonderful host. Although I didn't get to physically meet her, she was quick to respond to my e-mails and texts. She was flexible with our check-in/check-out times as well. My friends and I spent three days in her home.
The neighborhood was safe and full of culture. We had everything we needed right next to us including a small market, a Duane Reed, and tons of food options! The train was conveniently right around the corner and it only took us about 20 minutes to reach times square (via subway).
Although parking was free on the side of the street, it was almost impossible to find an available spot. We often had to park along the Hudson river and walk for about 10 minutes which was not so bad.
The apartment is just what it looks like in the pictures. All of Coco's belongings have been left there, which was okay; however, we did not have much room for our own luggage. The apartment is small and the bathroom is tiny as well, but hey, this is NYC!
The AC in the apartment was controlled by the building as Coco mentioned, but we often found that it was way too warm.
We didn't spend too much time in the apartment, but it was a great value and a good place to stay for short visits. We've been to NYC numerous times, and have stayed in hotels..but this is the first time that we really experienced the city lifestyle! With that being said, I enjoyed my stay in Coco's home, and I would definitely recommend it.

We had a great time staying at Coco's. The ad and pictures are quite accurate. Though an older building, it was clean. It is quieter for traffic, though could hear some people through the hallways and people being buzzed in and out of the building; shutting the bedroom door helps with that. The bed was really comfortable and the shower really strong. Though Coco was out of town, we were able to easily get the keys and the check in check out process was really straightforward. It's 5 minutes to the subway, and from there pretty easy to get around. There are a couple of markets to get any basics. We were out around midnight and felt fine getting to the apartment at that hour. Overall, it is a private, convenient place to stay that is a really good value overall.
Our stay at Coco's place was very nice.
The apartment is small but you can easily live there at 3 (not to say 4) if you don't plan to spend your whole day inside. Coco left her clothes, some food and all her personal belongings in the apartment. It didn't bother us at all since the place was very clean and organized; and also because we only stayed there for one week.
Coco was nice, precise and helpful! She quickly answered to all the questions we asked and was extremely polite.
The apartment is located at 20-25 minutes (instead of 15 minutes) from Time Square using the subway. The neighborhood is calm and safe.
I would highly recommend this place for a short stay in New York city!
Coco´s apartment is very very clean, the kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom is small, but I have seen smaller, just remember, you are in NYC !
The Queen Size bed is very comfortable.
Another plus, it is on the ground level, no stairs to climb !
Coco´s personal clothing and stuff are in there, so is like staying at a relative´s apartment, it is not a hotel.
Neighborhood looks quite safe, we always came back home after midnight and felt fine. Two blocks to the subway and half a block to the beautiful Hudson !
Coco was pretty good at responding to our questions at any time.
We would definitely stay there again.
Apartment was cute, clean and comfortable. Bathroom is quite tight, though expected for NYC. Conveniently located to transportation. Lively, safe neighborhood!
