The house is built in a warm, friendly wooden surf shack style. Sitting backed into the jungle a mear 400m up the side of a hill on a secluded private road, overlooking playa St Teresa from the famous surf break, Suck Rock to the North, down to La Lora in the South. It's a ten minute walk uphill from the main road but the view and the privacy is worth every single step. The beach, surf rentals and a grocery store are all in 10-15 minutes walking distance.
The house features a big bedroom with a queens size bed and ocean view and a smaller bedroom that fits a queens size bed and a shelf. There is also an additional annex with a single bed, The outside kitchen and the massive balcony and deck brings you close to living with nature. The decision whether and where to go surfing is usually made while enjoing a coffee or fresh juice on the balcony at breakfast.
During your stay I will normally live with my girlfriend in the studio on the base level of the house and will be happy to help you with recommendations.
Come and enjoy a little slice of heaven and some of the most amazing sunsets on the planet from the balcony.
We had a fantastic time here - Youbi and Varenna were extremely welcoming and helpful. The view from the terrace is amazing and the best spot in town for sundowners. We were two couples and we rented the whole place; it really worked for us - although it's worth knowing that the two bedrooms are very different (the master one is large with an incredible view but the second one is quite small and dark). It is about 10 mins walk (2 mins with 4WD) from the main road up the hill but this is a positive not a negative - not only for the fab views, but also security and quiet etc. We loved it and will definitely stay here again if we have the chance.
Youbi's place was the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that Playa Santa Teresa has to offer. He was a gracious and attentive host, providing us with tips and recommendations for all the great local places to check out. After picking us up at the local bus stop, his girlfriend, Verena, offered to take us to the grocery store so we could get our week's provisions since we didn't yet have a quad rented. The house is up a very steep hill and I would recommend renting a quad upon arrival in Santa Teresa. We really liked being up away from the main road with an incredible view of the ocean from our terrace. The home's open-air kitchen, dining and living rooms, as well as the hammocks and swinging chairs added to the home's charm and tropical feel. We couldn't have asked for anything more, and absolutely loved our stay here. We would highly recommend Youbi's place to any travelers looking to check out Santa Teresa.
Youbi or not Youbi that's NOT a question - if you plan to travel to Santa Teresa there is only one place Youbi :-) what a beautiful house he built - sourunded by pure nature and the best views on the breathtaking sunsets!!! Youbi is the perfect host and will give you all the informations you need to enjoy one of the best surfs on this planet - I could write an other 1000 words about how great it is but instead just travel to Costa Rica and find out by yourself - thank you soooo much Youbi and i'll be back for sure!!! PURA VIDA MAE
We had a wonderfull time in Paya Santa Teresa!! Youbi is a perfect host! His house is clean, cosy and very well situated. This place has a breathtaking point of view of the ocean!! The house is up an impressive steep, but you still can walk up the hill. It's even better if you have a 4x4 or a ATV.
I recommend Youbi's place without hesitation!!
Great place, Youbi was a great host, provided useful tips and helped us find the way. The rooms were as described and very comfortable. We got fresh towels and sheets. The kitchen is on the outside, so you have to be carful what groceries you buy, otherwise animlas are attracted. The view is spectacular adn is incredibly quiet. Highly recommended if you are with a group of friends and want a nice quiet stay.
