The cottage and property was exactly as described in the listing. The property was beautiful and very peaceful. The cottage was lovely and very cozy and inviting. It had all the necessities and some extra amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Wifi was much better than we've experience at most hotels. We loved the family of deer sleeping near the cottage. The location is walking distance from the town and the beach.
A wonderful cottage hideaway. The grounds have a family of deer and beautiful trees and flowers. The cottage is clean, cozy and has a very comfortable bed. The walk into town is a delightful 15 minutes past the swan pond and historic inns. Highly recommend the tavern at the 1770 House for dinner and cocktails.
Belinda is so nice! We emailed a few days in advance and then during the weekend. The cottage is so quaint. We had some bad weather during our weekend and there was no better place to hang out. The location is great to walk into town or the beach. We had such a good time!
This is a cute little guest house behind the big main house. Plenty of yard for our dog to run and play. Quick drive to Wolffer Estate, Montauk, Sag Harbor and all the beaches. Good for a young couple with a pup.
My sister and I (and our little puppy) ventured to Belinda and Gavin's place for a quiet weekend getaway -- unexpectedly we were welcomed with a snowy winter wonderland!
We loved the space and private location. Upon arrival, the cottage was clean, pre-heated, and was fully furnished with extra towels and blankets. The kitchenette was well supplied for cooking simple meals and making coffee/tea. While small, the space is very well organized and does not feel crowded. There is plenty of space to store your luggage, and any beach/winter accessories.
It only took a few minutes by car to reach the main street of East Hampton, or Main Beach, all off of Route 27. If it isn't snowing, you can even take a leisurely walk or bike ride to each area. You have plenty of options for beaching, dining, entertainment, and shopping!
Belinda was a wonderful hostess, as she checked in frequently to make sure we had arrived safely and that everything was ok. She gave us some excellent recommendations for food and coffee in the area, which were all very close to the cottage.
We definitely recommend Belinda's cottage for a quiet and cozy weekend in town. We plan on staying again once it gets warmer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Winter getaway to Belinda's guest house this past weekend. The place is the definition of "cozy". It's small but cute and has a super comfortable bed. It was perfect for the two of us plus our dog, who really enjoyed running through the large yard. I have no hesitation in recommending this spot.
Listing description was accurate. The location was excellent - just around the corner from the town of East Hampton, and near the road to Sag Harbor, and an easy drive to the beach, Montauk, and other places. The hosts were not on the property, but they helped make us feel welcome by leaving the lights on (we arrived at night), leaving the heat on, and leaving us some chocolates.
