The Space

Hey there! My name is Natalie and I am looking to make help make somebodies stay in NY fun, exciting, comfortable but most of all affordable!. This deal is an absolute steal and the location is, in my opinion, one of a kind!! The apt is a three bedroom apt with a huge shared eat in kitchen, (room for 6 people to eat). The kitchen comes with everything you need, all appliances necessary. It also has one in a half bathrooms. I have two female roommates. One who is NEVER HOME because of work and the other roommate is a student who is normally studying or out. The apt is on the 3rd floor and has an elevator in the building. This place is ideal for a single person or couple that is looking to Vacation in NYC and does not want to spend NYC hotel prices.

Here is a little bit about the location of the apt. This apt is located right off the B,Q stop at Prospect park in Brooklyn. The train basically drops you off at the front door. No commute!! It's 4 stops into BK from manhattan, and a 15 min subway ride to Union Square and 25 min to Time square. Prospect park is our front yard! Across the street we have our favorite bar, Lincoln Tavern, very hip and cool, Endouro restaurant is right next store, some of the best mexican food in all NY, our coffee shop (tugboat tea) right on the corner, a local pharmacy and brand new organic grocery store across the street. So you see, everything you need is on our street!

The rooms are HUGE, 12x18 and is fully furnished with Queen bed, desk, chest of draws, bookshelf's and a large closet space... Also, two windows which provide lots of sun light. We have heat and also a portable heater if you need a little extra also AC as well. Wifi and all utilities are all include in the stay. You will be provided with clean towels and bedding at the beginning of your stay.

If this sounds like this might be what your looking for please contact me so we can talk further in detail. I look forward to hearing from you.

Interaction with Guests

I am always there to let you in and show you around and I usually will be around to answer any and all questions though out your day. I am always reachable on my cell if I am out and you need something:)

The Neighborhood

So many things near by! Prospect part is the main attraction! The most beautiful park in NY in my opinion. You can go hiking and exploring for hours here. Lakes, ponds, waterfalls, brittle trails, open fields, beautiful greenery and nature paths. Also you have coffee shops, cafes, bars, organic grocery store, pharmacy, laundry and right on this block! Barclays center is two stops away, Botanical Gardens in walking distance, and BK Library is about a half mile from us!

Getting around

The B Q and Shuttle are all right in front of my apt. No Commute to the trains!

  • Natalie was an absolutely excellent host, making me feel very welcome from the start and all the way through my stay. All of the ladies were very accommodating, and super helpful. I felt like I got a real airbnb experience by meeting some fantastic local people that welcomed me into their home and undoubtedly helped make my week in New York.
The flat was immaculate, and even better than the pictures show. Possibly the world's comfiest bed.
I honestly cannot fault my week with Natalie and her housemates, and would definitely recommend staying here in this fantastic flat, with these lovely people to anyone. When can I visit again?!

  • Natalie was a fantabulous host! The moment we stepped into the house, we were greeted by her gorgeous dog Dunkin who is by the way, an amazing little donut!

Our bedroom was very beautifully decorated with paintings and loads of wonderful reads seated on the bookshelves which accompanied us on rainy nights. The bed was super duper comfy and the kitchen was perfect for preparing my own meals and for some nice long chats at the dining table with Natalie and her housemate Morgan who is also a superstar like Natalie! I am so blessed to have met these two wonderful ladies on my first visit to New York.

The location was way too convenient; with the Q, B and S stopping literally right in front of the apartment. Prospect park, was just a minute away with great routes for trekking, running and just chilling. Natalie was really helpful with directions and recommendations! The neighbourhood is great and we met so many fun people in our week's stay there!

If you want a great time in New York City, make sure you begin your experience at Natalie's home! ;0)

  • Natalie was a very friendly and gracious, and the room was exactly what my wife and I needed at an affordable price. Located across the street from a great coffee (email hidden)/restaurant, a bodega, a train station, it was a perfect location. We arrived in the city in the evening and she picked us (email hidden) across the street. I even found street parking (free from 7 PM til 8 AM) and the drive to Manhattan at 7:30 AM on a week day was actually really easy (30 mins). The room was large and clean, with 1/2 bath in the room, neighborhood relatively quiet. Good internet connection, was able to stream a hockey game without a problem. We had some slight water issues due to a leaky pipe in the building but Natalie helped us cope. Overall, a positive experience and would recommend to others!

  • My boyfriend, Jeremy and I stayed with Natalie and her roommate for a week, and it was a really comfortable, easy stay - everything a good airbnb is! The room and apartment was cosy and comfortable, and the kitchen was large and fully equipped. The apartment was kept very clean and tidy, and we enjoyed all the interesting books, furniture and decorations that the girls have collected. We also had a lovely time getting to know Natalie and Morganne, who were both friendly and interesting! Duncan, Natalie's dog, is gorgeous and I had fun taking him for walks in the park. And a very important bonus - the building is literally across the road from the B,Q and S trains, and half a block from Prospect Park (which is my favourite space in the city - if it's your first time visiting NYC, I highly recommend long walks and picnics in the park on sunny afternoons). Thanks guys! We'll definitely look you up when we return :D

  • Natalie and her room mates where very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The apartment is more than comfortable especially after a day of exploring the city. Train is right across the road so getting around was super easy. The lovely Prospect Park down the street is excellent for a morning run or a relaxing walk. The cafe across the street is also excellent. Great location in an up and coming neighbourhood. I highly recommend Natalie's apartment.

  • Our stay in Natalies room was fantastic. The neighboorhood is very nice and the beautiful Prospect Park just around the corner. Natalie is a great host and so were her roommates - it is good to have a place that feels cosy and welcoming after days with lots of impressions in the city. Thank you for giving us a place for our first days in New York, Natalie!

  • Natalie is a great communicator - and very warm, friendly host.
The room we stayed in was not the one pictured, but it was fine nonetheless with the bonus of having a small private lavatory just for our use.
We met her at the apt. to pick up our keys as scheduled, dropped our stuff, got a quick walk-through, and then she left for work and we went to meet family so we didn't actually see her again, but she checked in with us via text which was thoughtful.
That night the room was toasty (typical NY apt. in winter) but the windows had been left open a little bit which was fine. The neighborhood noise didn't keep us from sleeping.
Morning showers in the full (shared) bathroom were fine, clean towels, clean tub. The other apt. mate was apparently home in the morning but we never actually met her as we were rushing to meet family for breakfast.
So, ours was a very quick stay - short & sweet!

  • I had a great stay with Natalie and her two wonderful roommates, Wendy and Morgan. Everybody was very warm and welcoming, and I really felt at home. The apartment is located in a great part of Brooklyn -- only a stone's throw (literally, a 30 second walk) from the Prospect Park station on the B/Q. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in New York, I would recommend Natalie's room without reservation!

  • Natalie was a great host. Everything was nicely prepared when we arrived and she would always give us advice about what to do and where to eat. We spent a night at a concert and met her roommates who are also very welcoming. All in all, a great experience. Natalie is a great host with a well-located place to stay at in Brooklyn.
