The space

The room is on the other end of the apartment with private view. There is a long hallway that separates common area - living room from the room. The room and the space decorated with local antique furniture. You will have a great bedroom with the terrace that has two person swing, table and chair.

Guest access

The place is located next to metro(şişhane), end of İstiklal(main pedestrian street) and Tünel(funicular - one stop from Tram line). As you can see it's really close to Galata Tower. You will get more detailed directions when you make a reservation.

Interaction with guests

I will happily recommend (my favorite, non-touristic) places for eating/drinking/observing and am happy to answer any questions. I'm a programmer. So generally I work in my workspace at home. There is no problem to ask anything or chat unless if there is something important to fix.

The neighborhood

The flat is located in the city-center, just a 1-2 minute walk from Istiklal Cd., Galata Tower and the Asmalı Mescit neighborhood, home to Istanbul's historic pubs (meyhanes), active nightlife scene, cafés/restaurants, and shopping district. The apartment is ideal for couples, friends, and solo travelers who want to experience real Istanbul day & night life in the heart of the city.

2min walk to Galata Tower / Galata Kulesi
2min walk to İstiklal Street / İstiklal Caddesi
8min walk to Taksim Square / Taksim Meydanı
5min walk to Çiçek Pasajı / Nevizade
15min walk to İstanbul Modern
20min walk to Spicemarket / Mısır Çarşısı
25min walk to Sultanahmet / Sultan Ahmet Mosque / Sultanahmet Square

Getting around

On foot, it's about a 30 minute walk downhill to attractions like the Egyptian Spice Market and New Mosque. The neighborhood is very central; near many cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, corner shops, boutiques, local hamams, museums, and art galleries - I would be happy to recommend a few. The weekly street market is also a treat.

1min to metro/subway
1min to nostalgic tram
2min to bus stop
5min to tram that goes to old city / Spice Market, Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar ...

Other things to note

5nd floor, walk-up, no elevator.

This is not a hotel room. I appreciate guests who treat the apartment with respect. This means that I would like you to act like this like your own home: please clean up after your messes, try not to disturb the neighbors, and take responsibility if you cause damage.
