The entire apartment has giant bay windows throughout providing a complete panoramic view of the entire city. Located in the NOPA (North of Pan Handle) neighborhood right in the center of the city, you have easy access to public transportation (bus stop across the street) while being five residential blocks away from Golden Gate Park. This is a spacious one bedroom apartment which can comfortably sleep 3 (a pull out sofa bed in the large living room). There is an adorable spacious kitchen that inspires one to cook, and a dining area with lovely views of the city. Cable TV and Wifi are also available. Two hour free street parking is available (You have to move your car every two hours during the hours of 9 to 6pm)

3. Maximum 3 people overnight.
4. No smoking
Scott's place is great overall. He was easy to communicate with and it's a nice large one bedroom apartment in a central location.
Scotts cancellation policy is strict so be sure to note this prior to booking! Even though I booked the space less than a week prior to arrival and requested an amendment to my reservation within a couple days from even making the reservation, he still charged me 50% of the days I did not stay in the space. So be sure to book carefully.
Scott was very receptive and prompt to respond to emails regarding questions about the apartment as well as meeting us to provide the key to his apartment in San Francisco. We loved the layout of the apartment and found it spacious for our needs. The location was fantastic and within a couple of miles to shopping and excellent restaurants. Parking was very easy and nightly we found parking on the street next to Scotts apartment.
All that said there were some downsides: the apartment, while overall lovely did need a good clean. As previously mentioned by another reviewer, the shower curtain was very moldy and in need of replacement. The bathroom in general needed some love.
Very nice place. It was handed over to us exactly at the time mentioned. There was no guide for wifi, but we were able to contact Scott quickly to resolve this. The place is overall clean and well maintained. The location is central of San Francisco and many buses and groceries store are available nearby.
This was our first Airbnb experience so not sure if our expectation were unrealistic. I hope my honest feedback will help the next visitor. Good points: very roomy overall, the unit is comfortable and looks pretty much like the pictures. Good neighborhood area with dining nearby. Unit is top floor with nice views. Areas we felt let down: Although the unit was tidy, my expectations were that if I am paying a $95 cleaning fee, that the unit would have been professionally cleaned before we arrived. What we found were a half-drank glass of water on the end table, crumbs on the counter and towels that had not been dried.... literally the one hand towel that was left for us was just short of dripping wet. Again our expectations might have been too high, but I would think for 2 people there should be 4 bath towels (not three), one or two hand towels and washcloths (none were available). There were half-used small hotel toiletries as the only products to use in the shower. We brought our own toiletries but were surprised there was no decent soap or bath wash for the shower. The shower curtain liner is very moldy. It could easily be replaced for $15. The bed was comfortable but I think guests should know that it is a mattress and box springs on the floor... no bed frame. Also, there was a fitted sheet and a duvet... no top sheet which made us wonder if the duvet cover was clean. No smoke alarm which we found surprising and concerning. If you like to sleep in, know that buses begin to run at 7am and the single pane windows do not keep the noise out. Also, you will hear people in other units.... our neighbors were up at 3:30am. Lastly, getting the keys was more difficult than needed to be. I had to arrange for a friend to pick it up and she waited several hours to connect on the afternoon of the pickup.
Whar Barbara failed to mention is that she tried to cancel the reservation the day after she booked the reservation for that weekend. This is the most disgruntled unbiased an opinion I have come across and that too from a person that has never used Airbnb. I have a professional cleaner come before every guest. And my apartment is in the heart of the City. It is not out in the country where you wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and flowers dancing in the breeze.
Getting keys to Barbara was a challenge because she was driving a uhaul from San Diego and moving her daughter into her apartment in SF. She was not going to be able to pick up the keys until late into the evening. I actually drove over to her designated persons apartment to hand over the keys. This is after Barbara objected to me overnighting the keys to her via FedEx where she would pick up the bill. For a person who seems to want to be extremely cost concious, she expects to stay at the Ritz Carlton and be catered to her every whim.
About the Host, Scott
I am a 40 year old professional male and I live at this wonderful apartment. I am a California native, born and raised in the Bay Area. I love fantastic food, both cooking and dining out at all the amazing restaurants this city has to offer. One of my favorite pastimes is picking up fresh ingredients at one of the many farmers markets around the city and preparing a fantastic meal for friends. I am an avid soccer player and love to travel!
I enjoying site seeing, going to museums, art galleries, and beautiful scenic drives.
