We stayed at Dee's place which was a perfect location to Capitola where we enjoyed the beach and restaurants. The house was well equipped with everything and very comfortable. We would love to come back again. Thanks Dee!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Eco Cottage. It was absolutely as described in the listing, very comfortable, clean and well organized. This was our first experience at an AirBnB and it will certainly keep us coming back for more.
Nice place in a good neighborhood, walk to coffee, grocery store, and restaurants. It is on a fairly busy road, and also part of an apartment complex of some sort. Dee was very helpful.
Hi Scott- I am sorry you felt that you were being checked in on. My intentions were to just make sure everything was ok during your stay. I had to drive by my home to get to my friends where I was staying and I had asked you how many cars there would be because I wanted to make sure that no one parked in my neighbors spot in the driveway. You told me only 1 car and there was another car there so I wanted to make sure my neighbors wouldn't get mad. My husband later told me that he told you guys it was ok to park there but I disagreed. Anyway, sorry your experience wasn't perfect. I have to keep my neighbors happy too cause we are a condo HOA so their experience matters too. I was just trying to be nice.
We had a nice stay at this simple, cute home. Dee was very available for questions leading up to our stay. Highlights included the open kitchen, newly updated bathroom, and outdoor space with a patio and garden. The location offers quick access to the beach (a long walk or short bike ride) and even though it's on a kind of busy street, it was pretty quiet.
It was clean, comfortable and we all slept well! We loved Point Pleasant, so easy to reach...the surfing was great as was the lattes at Verve!
We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful house. The living area was bigger than it appeared in the photo's and both beds were really comfortable! The place was really clean with attractive decor, and had a lovely outdoors area - strawberries were a plus! Very convenient to the area with a short walk for coffee and groceries.
Dee was very helpful and thorough in giving us all the info we needed and communicating in a very timely manner.
Would definitely recommend this place for anyone holidaying in the area and would definitely return if we get the chance to visit this part of the world again.
I had a great stay at the Eco Cottage, made even better by having my dog with me. Dee was so helpful, coordinating all the details so I had a relaxing few days in Santa Cruz. The house is open and bright, with a nice big kitchen. I loved sitting in the 2nd bedroom watching movies at night.
It's a short drive to the beach, and a $12 cab ride to the Santa Cruz Harbor (Crows Nest restaurant).
The enclosed patio is great for relaxing outside while grilling or just enjoying the day. The foliage provides privacy from the street so you feel tucked away in your own little world.
Can't wait to visit again!

Well, I am in my 30's and married to my wonderful husband, Daniel for the past 6 years. Our children include our amazing dog and our beautiful horse that mean the world to us. By day, I work in the veterinary field and my husband teaches environmental science to kids. During our free time, together we enjoy traveling, snow boarding, rock climbing, scuba diving, music festivals and camping. My biggest passion is horseback riding and my husband is a die hard surfer who also enjoys working in the garden and relaxing in his hammock while listening to reggae tunes. We are both very passionate about the environment and doing our part to reduce our footprint on this planet.
We love traveling and seeing the world and we make an effort to travel out of the county about every other year. We have been to places such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Hawaii, Europe, Philippines and Sri Lanka. When we travel, we travel without any specific agenda and let life guide us to where we belong. All we need is our trusty Lonely Planet guide book and we find ourselves at great hostels where like minded travelers gather to share stories and experiences. We enjoy good company and fun positive people that inspire us to become better individuals. We are fortunate in where we live and the beautiful home we live in and we would be blessed to share it with others while we are out on our own life adventures. Our motto in life: "Find what you love and love what you find."
