This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
Exclusive 9 room mountain retreat for groups up to 35. Just 750m from ski slopes, our lodge is a private sanctuary for retreats. Enjoy full use of the chef’s kitchen and BBQ grill. As a working roastery, we provide complimentary onsite-roasted coffee. Explore with our e-bikes, snowshoes, and sleds. Surrounded by forests, rivers, and onsens. Self-service for total privacy—no staff or other guests. Your private basecamp for adventure and connection in the heart of Minakami.

The space
The lodge offers 8 guest bedrooms, along with two additional common areas that can also be used for sleeping, allowing flexible accommodation for larger groups.

Three of the bedrooms feature Western-style beds (including bunk beds and trundle beds), while the remaining rooms are Japanese-style with tatami flooring and futon bedding. All rooms have Wi-Fi access and most enjoy views of the surrounding valley and mountains.

In addition to the bedrooms, there are two spacious living areas:

One includes a large sofa bed

The other is a traditional tatami room that can accommodate up to 5 guests on futons

This layout makes the lodge well suited for large groups of up to 37 guests, whether families, friends, or team retreats.

The lodge features a fully equipped semi-professional kitchen with a wide range of appliances and cooking equipment. A large charcoal BBQ grill is available for use on the spacious terrace. Outdoors, guests can enjoy activities such as badminton, pickleball, volleyball, cornhole and more.

There are two spacious Japanese-style sento baths (non-onsen), and several excellent onsen hot springs are located nearby.

Within easy walking distance of the lodge you’ll find hiking trails, river swimming spots, a ski field, a local shrine, art galleries, restaurants, and scenic cycling routes (complimentary bicycles available).

Seasonal Experiences

Spring brings snow-capped mountain views, fresh greenery, cherry blossoms and flowers, along with excellent rafting and cycling conditions. In late spring and early summer, fireflies can often be seen right from the terrace.

Summer is perfect for outdoor living - swim in crystal-clear rivers, explore river valleys, enjoy rafting or canyoning adventures, cycle quiet country roads, and gather for BBQs on the terrace. Evenings are ideal for relaxing outdoors and stargazing.

Autumn transforms the valley with vibrant fall colours, making it one of the most scenic times for hiking, photography, and peaceful walks in the mountains.

Winter turns the area into a snowy landscape with nearby ski fields, snowshoeing, sledding, and quiet forest walks. After a day in the snow, relax in a nearby onsen or unwind in the lodge’s baths.

As we roast coffee onsite when guests are not staying, we provide a selection of complimentary freshly roasted coffees, along with a full range of brewing equipment and simple instructions so you can enjoy it your way — or explore something new.

Other things to note
Sleds, snowshoes, snow craft toys and bicycles available to borrow. Hiking trails start literally right at the lodge including one to the peak of Mount Tanigawa! A local beautiful and affordable onsen is a picturesque 3-5 minute walk away while the nearest ski field is only 750 meters away. We provide a complimentary hand crafted/baked breakfast (with vegetarian option) with barista made coffee while there is cozy mountain Italian restaurant with an excellent view less than a minute walk away. As we operate a small batch coffee roastery onsite we offer complimentary specialty coffee to our guest during their stay.
