  • Very good location - a lot of bars and nice squares with locals!

  • The place was awesome. Ideal for a couple. Very spacious. Close to the party area. 2 minutes to Campo dei Fiori and 5 minutes to Trastevere. A lot of restaurants in the area. Walking distance to all "must see" attractions (we did not use public transport even once). Very nice host. Clean apartment. That was a great visit to Rome. Thanks!

  • We were very happy to stay for 9 days in this appartment.
    Location is very good.
In the center of the Rome, the bus stop, supermarket and Campo de Fiori is very close to this appartment.
The apartment had everything we needed.
WiFi worked good all the time, but only in one room.
The bed is very comfortable :)
Noise from the street was very strong, but it was not matter for us.
It was very pleasant dealing with Frederiko and Diego.

  • Best location in rome ,walking distance to all major attraction. Basic flat, clean, wifi poor but ok,if you are more than 2 person better not to take a shower one after the other, not enough hot water.
Rome is a city to see by walking so the location is the number one to take into consideration, for this reason I will stay in this flat again.

  • I'll start by saying thank you for taking the time to read this review. I read every review that was posted for this apartment, and because of them my boyfriend and I decided to stay here for 5 nights. I am almost 30 years old, and I can say I am not too particular about where I stay, as long as it's clean, has a decent location, and has the amenities I need to have a restful and comfortable stay.

    Positives first:

-Federico was in constant communication with us leading up to our arrival, and was waiting at the apartment outside when we arrived.

-The location is amazing. You're just down the street from one of the most "happening" market and squares in Rome, Campo dei Fiori. The restaurants that encircle the large fountains and market area are a bit pricey, but some of them have really GREAT food, especially "Marcardo" (spelling?) If you walk a little further to outskirt restaurants, you're likely to save Euros. In other words, if you're paying more than 3 euros for a can of coke, or 8 euros for a dish of spaghetti, you're getting ripped off. :)

-The apartment has a very good amount of hot water (we both took showers right after each other, and there was still more hot water remaining).

-The apartment has very cold air conditioning in the living room and the bedroom, it will get icy cold if you desire, but can be adjusted to your own personal preference.

-The apartment is within walking distance to almost EVERY main attraction Rome has to offer. You won't have to waste your time trying to figure out or navigate through intricate bus or train systems, or dishing out your euros to taxi drivers. The furthest attractions out are the Trevi fountain and Colleseum, but both of those are still about 1.5 miles, or about 25 minutes walking.

    Now, the apartment's negatives:

-It is extremely loud, even with ear plugs in. The area wakes up at about 9PM every night and does not quiet until about 2AM. The area then wakes up again at about 6AM. The walls and windows are paper thin, and the motor bikes and people talking sound like they are in your bedroom, it does not matter that you're 4 floors up.

-The mattress is VERY uncomfortable. I'm used to sleeping on a sleep number firm setting mattress, and this was like sleeping on a box spring with no mattress.

-There is no microwave, no clothes dryer, no ironing board, little things that would make the apartment more livable.

-The wifi was good in the living room but does not have signal in bedroom.

-The floor has cracks in the tiles, a window has begun to shatter (pictures are very deceiving), the furniture has stains, the whole place is very dingy and needs CLEANED from top to bottom, badly.

-The bathroom toilet and bide are both very nasty.

Next trip to Italy, we'll be staying elsewhere. Ciao!

    Response from Federico:

from the past guests before Leah you can see that the apartment was CLEAN and in good conditions. There is an iron and clothes dryer . Maybe there is one crack in the tiles which doesn't mean "the floor", maybe there is a stain on the sofa ( it doesn't mean "the furniture") there is no problem with any window as the apartment has been fully renovated 2 months ago. The bathroom is very spacious and not nasty at all.
nothing to do about the noisy street, this is Campo dei Fiori!!

  • While Liz and I were staying in Rome, we wanted another apartment for my twenty-something aged daughters to stay. This apartment was perfect. Located within a minute's walk to the Campo de Fiori, it had easy access but removed from the late night noise. The apartment was spacious and had the necessary amenity to make it comportable although you may want to clarify the heating arrangement if doing a winter stay. Federico was a charming host who walked us through the rooms and provided some directions to some local restuarants and stores. A great experience!

  • Cappellari 4 is an amazing place to stay for you visit to Rome. The location could not be better as it's less than a minute from the Campo di Fiori and three minutes walk to the Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. My girlfriend and I did not take public transportation or a taxi even once while staying at Cappellari 4. But despite being in the middle of everything, Via Cappellari is a quiet, safe and charming little side street that immediately makes you feel like you have your own local neighborhood.

The apartment itself is spacious and has a great kitchen, big living room, bathroom and bedroom. The only reason we do not give 5 out of 5 stars is because there was nothing but basic furnishings in the apartment. Upon arrival we immediately had to go buy soap, toilet paper and other apartment basics. The AC was great but the internet only worked in one room and the television only carried one channel.

HOWEVER. All that being said, the location is superior. If you are in Rome to sightsee and be in the most desirable neighborhoods, then this is an outstanding place to stay. If you are in Rome to host friends and relax in a well equipped apartment, this is not the place for you.

Additionally, Federico was terrific throughout the whole process. He responded quickly and clearly to all our emails and he met us at the apartment when we arrived late on a Friday night. He was helpful and friendly and we hope to see him for a drink on his upcoming trip to New York City.

I highly recommend Cappellari 4 to everyone, just be sure to bring your own toilet paper, soap and toiletries.

  • Apartment was in the great location! Close to all the touristy sites, we never had to take the bus since were able to walk everywhere. It was very close (2 min walking) to one of the most popular plazas - Plaza de Fiori with many restaraunts and cafes. Yet, the apartment was on a very quiet street. Apartment was clean and spacious. Federico and Diego were excellent hosts. When we had problems with WIFI, Federico came to our apartment within a few hours and fixed everything. He was very flexible with meeting us to give us the keys too. Highly recommend it!
