Wonderful place wonderful host, very child friendly, traditional Brooklyn. Really convenient, 3 different subway stations a close walk. Surrounded by yummy cafes and restaurants. I would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic New York experience. Lisel the host is the star of the show, friendly and fascinating. We'll be back!
Location is great! The place was cozy , there's a cute little garden in the back. Lisel was such a great host, easy to contact and kind.
Lisel is a woman with a heart of Gold, she's generous, understanding and very compassionate about her cause. The house is so cosy, clean, efficient and in a lovely neighborhood, although I stayed there for only one night, but I absolutely loved it. The room that I shared with two other friends had TV, clean sheets and towels. Lisel showed us around, introduced us to other airbnb guests and welcomed us into her house with open arms. I would absolutely stay there again.
If you like Brooklyn, if you like Haiti, if you care, if you like sharing, talking, connecting, cooking, chilling, please join this house in this great neighbourhood. Enjoy the sun in the backyard, have a chat with the activist-host on new forms of social economy, or on how to save the world vol.3, and then go sip some hip coffee on the swedish espresso bar nextdoor.
Lisel made us feel like home. She was very flexible with our schedule and very helpful. We had a room with two beds and we shared kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom was super clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The backyard was great. The room was not exactly as in the pictures regarding furniture and the wall needs painting, everything looks much more worn and old. Anyway, it is in a nice neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and very close to multiple subway stations.
We differ with this guest's response. She is a scientist so details are perhaps her forte. From our point of view the review sounds very negative and we never had such feedback.
We added another bed only, and there is no changed furniture in the room, just a change of additional bed.
