Resort style living in the city
Whether you’re in town to explore the city, experience the nightlife, catch one of Melbourne’s many sporting events, attend a business event, visit friends or just relax by the pool – this is the ideal place to base yourself.
Regardless of whether it’s for one night or one month. A modern two bedroom apartment located in a resort style complex (complete with pool, spa, gym and tennis court) right next to the city in the heart of the Arts precinct; the Arts Centre, Melbourne Recital Centre, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria and the Malthouse Theatre are all within a very short walking distance. And the heart of the city and the heart of South Melbourne are both just a walk or short tram ride away.
Along with the central location and great atmosphere of the village-style complex, the apartment has many features:·
2 bedrooms - With a queen sized bed in each. There also a single mattress which we can set up to accommodate a 5th guest.
1 bathroom, with separate toilet·
Large balcony overlooking central courtyard·
Patio at rear of apartment with large outdoor dining table and BBQ·
Kitchen, which you are welcome to use for cooking – and continental breakfast ingredients are provided·
Washing machine and dryer·
A very large screen TV and a few DVDs, just in case you want to spend some time on the comfy couch
We also have some great recommendations on things to do and see during you stay.
To begin with, here are just a few suggestions for things to do nearby:·
Go for a walk or run around the famous ‘Tan’ track, just two minutes away·
Stroll into the city for some shopping (or take the tram, which stops right out the front of the apartment complex)·
Walk just 5 minutes to the Southbank promenade and try out one of the many restaurants along the river – or try your luck at the Crown casino·
Head to the South Melbourne market for delicious fresh veggies, meat and deli products! (10 minute with tram, 20 minutes walking)· Brunch at one of the gorgeous cafes on Coventry Street in South Melbourne (10 minutes with tram, 20 minutes walking)· Check out an AFL or cricket match at the MCG (just a 15 minute walk away)
Emma and Dave looked after the apartment for me when my daughter Kate went to Europe. I am now in a position to look after the apartment myself. Emma and Dave have a room in their apartment in the same complex available for booking on Airbnb, if it is a room, rather than a whole apartment you are looking for.
I do have another apartment in this complex which may be available, and also an apartment right on the river, opposite the Melb Convention Centre with a river view. Check the out, if you click on 'more about the host' under my photo, then open my full profile and you will find links to my other listings.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the property or the area.
Basically there is a 3 night minimum, but where there are 2 nights free between other bookings I will let it for the 2 nights.

This apartment is fantastic. It has everything you need; spacious living area, comfortable beds, large bathroom and an included carpark. It is in a perfect location to access Southbank and the CBD both by a short walk. Pauline was lovely and very accommodating, even picking up two guests from Southern Cross station. Would highly recommend a stay in this apartment.
We were greeted by Pauline in this impeccable apartment at our arrival and there were fresh roses and fresh fruit for us provided by the host. Pauline alerted us to some key events happening in the city, and gave us a welcome tour of this beautiful and comfortable apartment. It was just the perfect place for us to explore the city, which my mum thought was more beautiful than Paris! We had a great time, enjoyed the easy access to the city and the South Bank Promenade and all in all had a fantastic time in Marvelous Melbourne. Left with the promise we will be back, and I will definitely try to be back in this very apartment. Thank you, Pauline, you are a lovely person and host!
Pauline was fantastic, she was great with communication before during and after the stay. She had left some little goodies for breakfast for us and some great info on what was happening in Melbourne for the week. The apartment was perfect - nicely furnished, spacious and relaxing and close to everything, 20 minute walk into Flinders Lane and all the cool hotspots in the city. Will definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it to anyone! Thanks Pauline.
Great communication from Pauline and all my questions answered before we arrived. We loved staying in the apartment. There is everything that you need and supplies for breakfast included. Great location, walking distance to Fed Square, Southbank and trams. Some helpful hints for things to do if you need them at the apartment. The children loved the pool and spa and they could not believe the size of the TV! In fact they would have been happy not to leave the "resort" at all!! Ideal family stay, we would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Melbourne is a great city and this accommodation is really a great stay! The location is nearly perfect, not too noisy/busy and also not far away from the city. For sport fans: the Rod Laver Arena and Melbourne Cricket Ground are just a 10-15 minutes walk away! The TV is really HUGE and there are a lot of goodies like the pool and the gym.
Pauline really was a great host, the apartment was very clean and she left us some food there. She even drove us to the train station when we left (thanks again for that :-))!
I recommend this stay 100%!
Pauline was an excellent host. Very accommodating and easy to communicate with both in advance and during our stay. She also left a great manual to explain how to use things in the house as well as tons of recommendations for food and things to do. The house is in a really convenient location- a close walk to Flinders St. Station and many trams. It feels like a home away from home with plenty of space for our group of 5, and everything we needed to cook for ourselves if we wanted. Pool , gym and tennis amenities are an added bonus.
Pauline was a great host, and we loved our time in the apartment. Right in the heart of the city, and close to nice places to eat, grab a coffee, and explore (including the National Gallery of Victoria, and the city), we would highly recommend the apartment. It provided the ideal base for what was a great four-day getaway, and Pauline was extremely helpful and attentive throughout.
This lovely apartment was so convenient and a perfect fit for our family of two adults and two children. It was clean and stylish and the bonus of an on site pool and tennis court made for a great stay. Pauline was warm and friendly and went out of her way to accommodate us leaving our bags early and even leaving some welcoming treats. We would definitely stay again and don't hesitate to recommend this Southbank apartment to others.
We had a great time at this apartment. The apartment block is built around a lovely green space including the tennis court, gym and pool - calm and relaxation with a view of the Eureka tower! Pauline was helpful and flexible and the apartment was equiped with everything we needed, right down to the tennis raquets and a lovely big tv! Great for a holiday, or for someone with business in the city.
Pauline was a great host! She was very knowledgeable of the local surrounding and also a real joy just to have a chat with. The apartment was exactly as it was depicted and has everything you would need for a short or long stay (we were there for 9 days). The complex too is very safe and secure, not to mention ideal for a summer jet away. The pool, spa, gym and tennis court were all great. The location is probably the best part, with the city being about a 5-10min walk away and a tram stop located just outside the door. I would definitely stay here again!
