  • Wonderful space, beautiful home, perfect in town location, and most of all a gracious host.

  • Dolores was a fantastic host at the Forge b&b. we loved being very close to central Galway but it was also quiet. We slept great the entire time we were there and were very well fed by Dolores for breakfast! We both loved the full Irish breakfasts! Yum.

  • Dolores is absolutely wonderful. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the location, the lovely city, the parking, the breakfast and of course, Dolores herself. Charming! Would recommend this to anyone staying in Galway!

  • Very nice stay with Dolores in Galway. Perfect location in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the city center, nice and big room.

  • Dolores was absolutely lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Forge House! The room came with its own bathroom, a private shower and very comfy bedding. As a bonus, the B&B is on the west side of Galway, which seemed to be the chiller, less touristy zone (would highly recommend checking out the bar "The Blue Note," which had some awesome music & decor).

Dolores also makes a great breakfast, and was nice enough to chat with us about the culture and traditions of Galway. Would definitely stay again.

  • My mom and I had a very nice time in Galway at The Forge. Everyone was very kind to us and the breakfasts were delicious! The location is also very convenient to the downtown area and Latin quarter. There were a few little quirks with the shower, but we got the hang of it. The room was spacious for two people and very clean, overall a good value!

  • The location was excellent, off-street parking was included, and the breakfast was bigger than anything we could have eaten! But as Dolores said, everyone needs to experience the full Irish breakfast at least once! The bed was comfortable too.

  • This was the perfect accommodation for us. The forge is nice and close to Galway's center which is fabulous. The breakfast was amazing and Dolores is so sweet. Would definitely stay here again!!

  • I can't say enough great things about our stay! The Forge was in a perfect location for walking around and exploring all of Galway. It was made even easier with parking in the back for our rental car. We stayed two nights with Dolores and had the most delightful time. Breakfast was delicious and Dolores would come out to chat with us each morning. City centre is full of fun things to do and see, but be carfeul of some tourist traps! Fish and chips doesn't need to cost that much. We were big fans of The Pie Maker.
Dolores gave us plenty of suggestions of places to go and we met loads of fun locals who showed us around. Every night it was an easy walk home. Certainly recommended!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at The Forge. Both Dolores and Bernard were thoughtful hosts. The breakfasts were grand! We'd stay there again and hope to if we ever return to Galway.
