Cozy Room close to center of Rome!

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Viale Arrigo Boito, Rome, Lazio 00199, Italy

The Space

The Bed & Breakfast is located in Rome’s Trieste graceful area, close to the important Santa Priscilla Christian catacombs and Villa Ada marvellous park, once hunting area of the Savoia royal family.

Also, the magnificent Villa Torlonia Park, with the Casa delle Civette beautiful house and the great Villa Borghese park, with its vast art collection, are easily reachable.

The property is housed on the 5th floor (with a lift) of an elegant middle fifties building. It will provide you with all comforts to make you feel at ease during your stay. Its location is in a residential street just on the back of a large quantity of shops, bars, pizzeria and restaurants.

The property has been recently 80% restored and I will be more than happy to provide you with recommendations about interesting locations in Rome, after all I was born here and have quite an extensive knowledge.

The stop "LIBIA" of METRO B1 is walking distance from the apartment. By metro or bus you will reach the HISTORIC CENTER in 20 minutes and the VATICAN in 30 minutes. The distance to the BEACH is approximately 1 hour by metro and train. By bus, all areas of the city are easily accessible.

The bedroom is very large and spacious with a French double bed (140 cm) and can accommodate a single person, an adult with a kid and two adults. Plenty of space for your luggage is provided in the room.

The bathroom is shared with me. I smoke and for this reason smoking is allowed during your stay. I own a beautiful doggie named Lilli who is very sweet with guests and will not enter the guestroom. Guests must be smoke and pet friendly but unfortunately are unable to bring with them other pets.

There are a myriad of bars and coffee shops 50 mt away from the house where you'll find the best cappuccino and sweet rolls and you'll be suggested where to go to have the best Italian breakfast.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • A very gentle, kind man, very helpful and very thorough in his directions and instructions. His apartment and the accommodations look exactly as they are shown in the photographs and feel comfortable as well. The Trieste area of Rome is quiet and prosperous. Shopping for groceries, coffee, snacks, pizza or gelato is all convenient and nearby. Transportation by bus is also easy to Tiburtina, Termini or the typical tourist areas like the Vatican, Colisseo, etc. The metropolitana (station Libia) is also available at a walk of about 15 minutes. The price - quality ratio is fairly good with this one disadvantage that there is no use of the kitchen allowed and eating out is necessarily going to drive up costs. However, Paolo does warn you about this quite clearly up front and it does not come as a surprise afterwards.

  • Paolo is a great host. His apartment is clean and neat, and the guest bedroom is very comfortable and full of new furniture. The location of the apartment is very close to the bus and metro, which will take about 25 minutes to travel downtown. Paolo's food recommendations are great - go where he suggests! Would definitely stay again if looking for a quiet apt outside of the city center, close to an affordable, authentic, friendly pizza restaurant!

  • Paolo was a very nice and helpful host and I had a very pleasant stay. He recommended places for breakfast, dinner etc. in the local area and gave directions on how to get to different monuments, museums and sites. The room is neat and complete with table, closets, double bed and I had free WIFI too. I can definitely recommend this apartment to other people!

  • Paolos flat is perfect for visiting Rome. It´s near public transport, there are nice restaurants/cafe´s nearby. Paolo has a lot of good tips about the lokal area and Rom generally. The breakfast in the nice cafe he recommends is lovely.
The flat is very clean and the room is huge and comfortable (the pictures don´t lie). Paolo is very kind and helpful.

  • We had a great stay with Paulo! The place is a bit far out of the city center, but not hard to get to and from on the metro, and its kind of nice to leave the other tourists behind. The breakfast place and pizza place in the neighbourhood are fantastic, as are Paulo and the dog Lily! Thanks for the great stay (and for getting up at 4am to call us a taxi)!

  • Paolo gave my son and I a safe and comfortable haven to resort to after each day of tourist chaos. From the moment he met us at the bus stop and gave us a tour of his neighborhood to the last day of our trip Paolo was a great and perfect host. He supplied us with information verbally and written and asked daily how our day was going and if we needed anything. He was sincerely a genuine host. His home located in a peaceful and quaint neighborhood with many cafes, bakeries and parlors. Paolo's guest room was adequate and private. The wash room was shared but nothing about our stay was not lacking in anyway.

  • I have had 3 hosts during my trip in Europe this Sept and I would rate Paolo Ercolani as the most genuine and friendly and helpful and nicest host of all.

The room is beautiful and the bathroom is well-equipped. Clean and cosy. I felt like I was welcomed in a 5 star boutique hotel. I highly recommend Paolo Ercolani's place to all travellers if you would like to avoid the chaosity and madness of traffic and congestion of Rome city.

The taxi fee to airport can be a bit costly though. The taxi driver charged me 64 Euro! So either take the public transport or check before you hop into an airport taxi.

  • Our stay with Paolo was very pleasant! The appartment is situated in a nice, quiet neighborhood with some very good restaurants and an excellent little cofeebar where we had breakfast every morning (this was included in the arrangment). After a long day of visiting the city, we could freshen up a bit and enjoy the food and drinks in these lovely places, which was perfect for us.

  • The room was great, and Paolo was a very informative host - showing us around the neighbourhood and recommending places to go. The only downside was not being able to use the kitchen (but with only three days in Rome and gelato just down the road, this wasn't a huge problem!). The location is fantastic, easy to reach by metro and bus.
