ENTIRE - 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT! Make yourself feel at home in this Upper East Side gem. Brandon (that's me), the host loves to make sure you are comfortable and offers every guest a free tour of the town (including a drink or two!)
Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my place!
Note: This is an ENTIRE 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT FOR RENT; Nobody else stays in the apartment when you are there.
I live full time in the city and hate to see my great upper east side apartment go to waste when I'm not in town - So I offer it to travellers occasionally~
Brandon's Pad is an awesome, clean, newly renovated 1 bed room apartment on 66th street and 1st avenue. It is located in a classic NY upper east side walk up building (see pictures). This is a walk up, but thats how we all stay in shape! (Keep in mind this is on the 6th floor. 5 flights up... I love the walk)
The apartment sleeps 4 people.
2 in the double bed (see pictures)
2 on the sectional couch (see pictures)
It is a great location to be... Here is where you can get to by travel time:
- cute local cafe next door
- best NY pizza in NYC (check yelp for pizza park)
- great authentic mexican food
- most famous bagel shop in NYC (check yelp for bagel works)
- Irish Pub with live music and sports games on the TV
- local park / playground
Within 10-15 minutes:
- Entrance to central park
- Bloomingdales shopping
- 5th avenue
- Apple store
- The Met museum
Within 25 minutes
- Times square
- Grand central station
Within 40 minutes
- Wall street
- View of statue of liberty
- Virtually all of New York City
Also, this apartment is set up for your comfort and includes:
- New granite countertops, clean kitchen and bathroom
- Washer and Dryer inside the apartment! (This is virtually unheard of in New York)
- Big TV with netflix and local HD channels
- High speed internet and Wifi
- All pots and pans you need for cooking
- A super comfy bed with great sheets, I bet it will be better than your bed at home
- An energetic host who will make sure things go smoothly (that's me!)
- A super (someone who lives in the building) in case there are any issues
Everything in the apartment is fair game: from the washer / dryer (Come on, try and find that in another upper east side apartment) to the dishwasher, DVD player, TV, internet, etc. My house is your house.
Interaction with Guests
I love taking folks on tours of the city, and brooklyn!
So much energy in the upper east side. The best part of staying in an apartment like mine is you get to know the people and culture of the city and neighborhood. Those stuffy hotels are so 1990!
Ummm, its new york city! 2 subway lines within 6 mins or so from the apartment door.
Other Things to Note
Please leave the apartment in the same condition as when you arrived.
- respect respect... but party all night if you want!
- Please leave the apartment in the same way you found it. Please make sure to clean up any mess you made and gather sheets / towels together so that I can wash them when I return.
Brandon's apartment is a very great flat if you want to visit NYC.
The location is good, just near Central Park and few minutes from the subway station.
The apartment has all comfort and is very clean. You feel like at home !!!
If I come back to NYC, I'm sure to contact Brandon again for renting his apartment :)
Brandon was great. He didn`t know how desperate we were when he accepted our reservation. We had reserved another place months ago only to have it cancelled only 5 days before our trip, a college audition for my daughter. We were able to book only a couple of days before the trip and Brandon was accomodating. The place is as described. It was clean and warm (never got above freezing outside while we were there). Shower was hot. The location is great. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and sites and close to subway. It is a walk-up, but you travel to experience other places. Brandon is quick to respond to any questions.
Brandon was extremely accommodating to my two friends and I, especially since our trip to NYC was last minute. He responded within minutes of contacting him through airbnb. He is friendly and well traveled so had great suggestions for NYC and other areas that I plan on visiting soon. The location is great, just a few blocks from two (that I know of) subway stations and right on 1st Ave if you want a taxi. It's also in a quite and safe neighborhood. We appreciated the cute coffee shop next door as well. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. The price is amazing and I don't think I could have asked for anything more. I definitely recommend staying here!
Staying at Brandon's was the best part of my trip to NYC. The apartment looks just like the pictures and was in a prime location for the conference I was attending. Brandon was extremely generous and helpful, agreeing to host my friends and I when we needed to find last-minute accommodations and frequently checking to make sure everything was alright. If you're looking for a place to stay in NYC, stay with Brandon.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 8 nights at Brandon's Pad. It was our first trip to NY so he helped us at anytime if we had any questions. He was a very nice and uncomplicated host. The bed was very very comfortable and just across the street was Dunkin Donuts-the perfect way to start your day. Thank you Brandon!
I thought Brandon was an excellent host. He took the time to make sure that I found his apartment and was able to get inside easily. He provided all his contact information as well as some back up info in case I needed anything. I appreciate that he took the time to make sure I had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. He even left two bottles of wine for us to enjoy.
I also think that the apartment was definietly worth staying in. It is in a great part of town and has the perfect amount of space for two people. It was clean and it has a washer/dryer, which is nice for renters who are staying for an extended period. The bathroom was clean and had a nice amount of space by NYC standards.
