A beautiful charming 2 floor - apartment with kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with sofa , sofa - bed.
The apartment has a spectacular view of the main attraction of the city which are: the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, the famous roovs of Florence, various hills, Fiesole and Piazzale Michelangelo.
The apartment has a rusitc style and the cealing is made of beams.
Our hosts can expect a familiar and relaxing stay where they can cook as they were at home. In fact at 10 meters there is a big supermarket..
They can also try some of the closer restaurant and eat the famous good pizza or the famous Italian steack. On night they can taste a delicious ice cream.
The district is croudy but not noisy, it is full of typical shops and in 10 minutes they can reach the main attractions.
Most of the area in the city center is pedestrian, but there is a bus stop just in front of the Supermarket.Inside the building there is a parking for 7 car spaces at the price of € 20.00 per day.
My apartments is precious and unique because you can wake up and enjoy a beautiful view.

It was a great apartment. Its not very far from Florence Cathedral and the view from the upper bedroom is just second to none. I think this apartment is at the top of the tallest building of the town, thats why you get a beautiful view on three sides. Second bedroom is single and small but we were fine with it.
The apartment in Florence was very nice, clean and the location was perfect. The views from the upstairs bedroom were fantastic. They even provided coffee, milk, juice and food for breakfast. We were comfortable and very pleased with the accommodations. Fortunately the people in the restaurant in the same building were friendly and helpful because the two ladies in the rental office were not at all helpful. This was the only negative about this stay which was otherwise a great experience. We do recommend the apartment to other travelers and would stay there again ourselves. Also, our first experience with AirBNB was a very good one.
The "Lorenzo the Magnificent" room at this apartment hotel ("Palazzo dei Ciompi") has stunning views of the Duomo. Sitting in our bedroom at night with a glass of wine looking over the rooftops of Florence, with the dome of the cathedral lit up in the background was breathtaking. There is also a kitchen, two bathrooms, a fold out couch (really only big enough for one), and a single bed...perfect for our family of 4.
The location is excellent, with all of Florence's main sites just a stroll away.
If you have a car, be aware that the apartment is within the ZTL zone, so the staff will have to report your license plate to the police to avoid a fine if you are planning on parking on their property.
Staff were friendly and helpful, BUT the owner, who was in the office when we checked in, was quite arrogant; avoiding eye contact, being generally abusive to his staff, and outright rude to us. Thankfully, you may only have to meet him once.
A wonderful stay though. Would recommend to anyone.
This place has great potential but needs a facelift! Let's start with the good. The design is great with a master bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a small bedroom, bathroom, den with fold out sofa and kitchen downstairs. The view from the master bedroom is amazing through all three windows. Now the bad... The master bathroom shower has the handheld shower head but the clip to hook it on is broken so you have to hold it the entire time. Having long hair and having to use one hand to hold the wand and the other to scrub and rinse is difficult at best. The downstairs shower was moldy. The air conditioner in the downstairs bathroom leaked. The sheets on the fold out sofa looked like they had not been changed. And let's talk about that fold out sofa! It is old, worn out and faded. It looks dirty and therefore we didn't even want to sit on it much less sleep on it. Considering the only other place to sit were four hard chairs at the kitchen table, it made it difficult to get comfortable there. The location is okay as far as it being within walking distance to everything but kind of a dark, dingy area upon walking outside. Having said all that, I wouldn't rule out staying here again but only if the above issues were resolved. It wouldn't cost much to hire a new maid, replace the couch, fix the leaky air conditioner and replace the clip for the shower head.
2.5 stars (disappointed and misleading photos)
great communication and the view was great. we arrived early and they accommodated our request for early check in which was so nice. we appreciated their hospitality.
However there are a view misleading things. Their is only one room that supplies the grandest view, The Lorenzo the Magnificent room. We met another couple that booked the same room but obviously they have only one of these. This is a business and not a personal residence. Also the floors are ridiculously dirty. After five minutes of walking on the ground my feet were black again. This was also discussed through another couple staying in another room. They were not happy either. Their mattress cover was black.
Also the air conditioning does not run all night which makes the summer nights incredibly uncomfortable if you are accustomed to AC. The beds are hard and flat, the showers are small as an airplane bathroom. Also disgusting mold residue on the shower floor.
The wifi is not included as you have to pay five euro a night. there is only one washing machine and dryer for all the rooms and its on the second floor. overall i think i would prefer a more modern stay the next time. It get incredibly hot at night.
On the better side the location was great.
The apartment was wonderful especially the main bedroom which was huge with a good sized ensuite. Great view from this bedroom. The second single bedroom worked perfect for our 12 year old son and our 14 year old daughter used the sofa bed. We did not use the kitchen facilities other than the fridge. The location was great, walking distance to everything we wanted to see. It was a 12 - 14 euro ride to the apartment from the train station. The apartment faces a small plaza with a couple of sidewalk cafes/bars. On return home one evening their was an excellent jazz trio playing in the plaza so we enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar and listened to some great music! My only complaint is that they charge 5 euro per day for wi-fi and my experience has been that most places do not charge.
We were blown away by the views from the upstairs bedroom! Sitting at night with the windows wide open, with the moonlight over the roofs below was stunning. Then the bells chiming made for such an amazing setting.
The location for our weekend was perfect. A short walk to just about everything - Duomo a few minutes away (and you can see it from your bed).
The restaurant directly was excellent. I only drink craft beer and the beer on tap there was as good as any I've had anywhere. Be sure to dine at Vagalume.
The accommodation feels really safe - stepping inside the doors at night just made it feel really safe for our party of four.
Only downside was we visited in an unexpected cold snap and there was not enough bedding to be warm at night. And to make that worse the electricity suddenly stopped working at 10pm and we had no idea who to call as this did not appear obvious. Because it was Saturday night we were unable to rectify this until the office opened at 3pm. Sure, apparently somewhere there is a number to call but the phones in our room did not work.
Other than that, we would definitley stay there again. The location and room was fantastic!
By the way, staff were warm and friendly and really helpful, always!
Why would anyone stay anywhere else!
The "Lorenzo Il Magnifico" apartment exceeded our expectations. The large upstairs bedroom has large windows facing all four compass points affording incredible views of the city. The bed is comfortable and the accommodations are very clean. The office staff was friendly and helpful and responsive. We only had a small problem with the kitchen gas not working that was resolved promptly.
The location is in a quiet neighborhood, yet just a short walk to most of the monuments, churches, piazzas, museums, and shopping areas. The Conad market is very close and convenient. We often had breakfast in and some dinners too. The small but efficient kitchen is adequate to prepare some home cooked meals.
We were traveling in winter, so it was cold. The building heat is only run in the evening and the morning, which is really no problem since we were typically out touring during the day.
The apartment would be great for a family as the large bedroom is upstairs and has its own bathroom with shower. There is a small bedroom downstairs with a twin bed and larger bathroom with shower. The kitchen and dining area has a sofa bed.
To add to the charm, the ceilings are rustic open beam supported by large timbers. The floors are tile.
This is a comfortable, quiet, and delightful place to enjoy a visit to Tuscany and again, the views are fantastic.
