Lesa fue muy buena anfitriona., es muy simpática y nos dio toda la información que necesitamos
Lesa is a great person. The house was very nice and spacious; definitely worth the price. Lesa made all her efforts to make us feel at home. She brought us a bottle wine, gave us directions how to go to the interesting sites in Carcassone and lots of information about other areas close by for visits. This was perhaps our best trip ever. My kids were so amazed by the beauty of the medieval city of Carcasson and the castles of Cathar. We were all very impressed by the Chateau de Lastour. There are so many castles around Carcassone for visit. It takes easily a week to see a handful of them. Carcassone is definitely a great place for everyone to visit and Lesa is the one you can trust as a great host.
Lesa was such a wonderful host. She was bubbly, helpful, recommended a load of fabulous restaurants and bars - and she had bought us a bottle of rose and the most amazing macarons to eat on our arrival! Our friends arrived later than us and as we were out, Lesa very kindly let them in and gave them an extra set of keys. The apartment was gorgeous (even better than the photos), comfortable and spacious. Carcassonne was a lovely little town and it was really easy to get around. I'd recommend catching the bus from the airport to the town as it was only a fiver and there were no cabs in sight. It was so hard to book and hail cabs - bear that in mind! Luckily, Lesa very kindly booked us cabs to the airport. We had a wonderful stay and we'll be back.
Lesa couldn't have been more helpful - quick to respond to messages and very friendly in person. The apt is lovely - spacious, plenty of lounge seating and nicely furnished plus well located. Lots of extras including alfoil, coffee filters and an iron. Easy walk from station and close to canal for boat trips and cycle hire/riding along canal path.
Although there are stairs to apt, not too many and they are wide plus Lesa carried one suitcase up for us!
Was a bit noisy with bedroom window open (on a main st.) - garbage collection, cars and during our stay a bit hot with window closed. There is a fan however. The windows do shut off all noise as double glazed. Occasional trains passing didn't worry us and other residents in building very quiet.
We walked to old city, market square (there for Saturday market - wonderful) and main supermarket.
Lovely first visit to Carcassonne.
We were very well looked after and thanks to the time Lesa spent with us everything went very smoothly and we didn't waste time finding our way round. The flat was very well located and lived up to our expectations. Thanks Lesa
The apartment in Carcassonne was beautiful. It is on the first floor and has three bedrooms, which is perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of knives and pots. The refrigerator is full size and very clean. I enjoyed the living room with the large comfortable couches and table. The TV is new and we were easily able to connect our notebook in order to watch our own movies/TV shows. It took us about 30 minutes for us to walk to the Medieval city, but at the end of the day the Petit Train or #4 bus drops off very close to the apartment. All the windows opened up and the breeze was wonderful on those hot evenings. This part of the city is not very loud at night, which is a blessing with children trying to sleep. (only those little motor scooters make too much noise.) The only issues we had with the house was the height of the toilet! It must have been installed for a very tall family. Our feet could not touch the floor while sitting on the toilet! Only a small inconvenience that was annoying for us adults at certain times during the day. The shower stall was large and comfortable (another indication that it was built for a tall family). Lesa was very friendly and hospitable. She lived nearby and was available with any concerns we may have had during our stay. She also left for us, and explained, a number of good choices of restaurants and activities that she recommends. She, so kindly, had a bottle of rose wine waiting for us upon arrival too! Her smile was very welcoming. She is Australian and therefor speaks English but her French is fluent as well. We very much enjoyed our stay in Carcassonne in Lesa's beautifully renovated home.
Wonderful apartment on an excellent location. We were warmly welcomed by Lesa, fresh botlle of wine in the refrigerator and macarons for the kids. Lesa even sent us the teddy one of our kids forgot in his bed. We can strongly recommend this place!
