About this listing
I had a wonderful stay at Daniel's apartment that is located in the center of medieval Avignon. It is on a pedestrian-only street and there are great shops nearby, including Les Halles, which is the morning market about 3 minutes away. The apartment is bright and has a lovely view of the rooftops across the way. The bedroom is located in the interior courtyard of the apartment so it was quiet for sleeping. This is important because in the old part of Avignon, the tiny narrow streets often have a lot of people walking about, so there is (people) noise (vs. car noise) from the street that comes up into the living room. The space is decorated nicely and was perfect for my stay. I will certainly try to stay there again when I return to Avignon!
Daniel greeted us at the apartment as arranged and had sent us information regarding parking which is always a problem. The park he advised was perfect, within easy walking distance of the apartment.
The apartment was very well situated, central and we felt safe.. Daniel helped us take our luggage upstairs for which we were very thankful. Daniel had provided everything we needed for the duration of the stay. It is a great venue and I would recommend it to anyone travelling.
We were warmly greeted by Daniel and pleasantly surprised by the starter pack for breakfast. The apartment is in a great location and suited our needs for the 5 days we spent in Avignon.
This is a very lovely flat in the centre of Avignon, on a quiet pedestrian street. The facilities in the flat are excellent, the bed very comfortable and a very good shower. Daniel was very helpful on our last day, allowing us to stay until 12.00pm.
We felt welcomed but we're not expecting so many stairs, 60, I counted. The apartment was spacious but noisy when windows were opened. It seems better suited for young, energetic people.
Richard, the old city of Avignon was build between the 13th and 18th century. Every building here are like this, with narrow stairs. The apartment is right in the historical center, close to all attractive places, and in the pedestrian zone. No car sounds at all, and the bedroom is backside, without any noise. Yes, when the windows are open, you may hear softly music, voices, all sounds of a normal life, in fact. And yes, the apartment is on the third floor, but it's rightly an avantage, because it is bright.
