About This Listing
I love the spacious living in a country environment that is so very close to Texas A&M. Grocery stores and restaurants are close by and major roads are easily accessible. The neighborhood is quiet.
Quiet out the way comfortable place.
This is a one bedroom place with space. There are 2 beds, one king and one twin. The king size bed is private. The twin bed is in the living room. The building sits in the back behind the main house on an acre and a half. There is a full kitchen with refrigerator. It is central heat and air conditioned. There is cable television and wireless internet. You'll love the quiet location with such close access to the community. All the neighbors are on big acreage also, so you get the feel of rural living!! The property owner handles all bookings and is accessible. The BCS area books quickly on football, graduation or Parent's Weekend so don't wait and have to stay in Navasota!! Y'all come!!
It's quiet and off the beaten path. The lots are big.
There is no public transportation that is accessible in this subdivision. The location is 4 miles from Kyle Field and Texas A&M University.
In rainy weather, guests should use the sidewalk next to the house for sure. It's accessible all the time so feel free to use it. Because my place is equipped with a septic system guests are not allowed to drive up close as it could damage the field lines.
Guests have access to wi-fi. The password is on the underside of the modem. You will also find it in the House Book.
The neighborhood is quiet and guests have two parking spaces on the gravel parking area. The concrete driveway is reserved for the main home parking. My favorite activity is to run or walk. The streets are wide and I can put in long miles easily.
There is not public transit access here, but is within 5 miles. Visit this website to find out more (website hidden)
Most often guests who stay here will enjoy their privacy. The management of the space is done in advance of arrival of guests and after they leave to give them uninterrupted time at this location. If something needs attention however the owner is available to assist.
This neighborhood is quiet, think birds, frogs and crickets!! There's great walking or running for those who are good at creating their own exercise plan.
Guests have access to wifi and cable. They have to ask in advance to get access to washer and dryer. The area where these amenities are located are locked. It's no problem, just ask.
The house rules are simple. Respect the space by using things and putting them back. Always leave the space the way it was when you arrived, clean and orderly. The cleaning fee takes care of trash, linens and towels of course. However, be respectful of the space and those who come after to clean. There is a fire pit beside the house for use when there is not a burn ban in the county. The resident property manager will have that information. The internet password will be available at the site. And NO SMOKING in or around the apartment. Please walk away from the immediate area as it's on an acre and a half. Take a walk and smoke!! but do not smoke in or around the space!! No Pets allowed. Large gatherings are prohibited!! This is due to the fact that the sewage system is a septic tank and not equipped for a large party.
Robin is expedient in her texts. I never waited or had to worry about her getting back with me. The property is very private which served our needs to the tee. This was our youngest daughter's graduation which was bittersweet being it was finalizing our empty nest. We were able to relax and even build a fire outside the evening of the ceremony to celebrate. We will cherish these memories made.
Thank you for your hospitality,
We had great communication with Robin, she would respond promptly on any questions that we had. We visited College Station for my son's graduation. There was 5 of us including extended family. Was able to catch up with family that came down from another state, provided a more relaxed environment than a hotel room. Robin was nice enough to even provide our breakfast, dozen eggs, some biscuits, milk etc. So, we didn't have to make a run to the grocery store. Initially thought from the pictures there were 2 bedrooms, but realized then that the other bed was just off the main living room. This was not an issue, we were family, and the other bed was completely separated by nearly a full wall, so there was privacy while sleeping. The property was very nice and updated, wood floors, nice tile, bathroom updated, etc. Had everything we needed. Place was very clean and in great shape, overall was very pleased, would stay there again. There was even an area for a bonfire.
My family and I very much enjoyed our 3 day stay in Robin's apartment. It was exactly as represented,,,neat & clean, very comfy beds & furniture, quiet country setting very close to campus. She even left a stocked fridge for our enjoyment. When I had to change my trip dates, Robin so graciously acommodated that too. Great place, super nice lady,,,I would absolutely recommend this home and hope to stay there again next year.
We are a family of four (children 8 & 10 years) from Switzerland and stayed 10 days at Robin's place. We felt comfortable and at home. There was everything we needed during our stay. The place was tastefully decorated and perfected our Aggie Land experience. We are hoping to come back to College Station and would stay at Robin's place again any time. Communication with Robin was easy and timely. Two thumbs up and Gig'em Aggies!
The apartment was exactly as described. Two beds off to the side of the living area that comfortably fit three teens, as well as a master bedroom. Kitchen stocked nicely. Great choice of coffees!
The building is off to itself, so the kids could make some noise inside without disturbing anyone. Wifi and plenty of tv choices.
We stayed in mid December and the apartment was decorated for the holidays. My wife's comment was that "someone must stay here, it's too cute to just be a rental."
I'd look to stay there as my first option next time I'm in College Station.
I was traveling to College Station for a football game at Texas A&M University. Everything about the stay was fantastic. Communication up front was good, and I knew exactly what to expect when arriving for my stay. The pictures and description were accurate, and my travel companions and myself found the accomodations to be very satisfactory.
In terms of location this spot was a short drive to the University and the airport, but still secluded from town.
It was a great trip, and when given the opportunity I would definitely stay here again.
Robin was a great host. The place had ample space for the 5 of us and it was a great location.

About the Host, Robin
I found out out about Airbnb by using it first and then I listed my place. I had a very positive experience using it in Paris and Ireland. I love to travel and want others to enjoy their travel to my community.
I have been a resident in Bryan College Station for 40 years. I love this town and Texas A&M University. I earned my bachelors from A&M. I now spend part of my time in California with my children and grandchild.
My idea of making this place yours for a short time is to provide a comfy space. I hope that is true for your stay here!!
