  • Very convenient and quiet location. The apartment was our home away from home. Marcella was very generous, nice and flexible. Thank you Marcella for making our stay even more enjoyable!

  • Ciao Marcella, Thanks so much for being our host. We enjoyed staying in your place so much that we barely got out of the house before noon ;-) ...and hope that we can be back some day! Hugs, Florence & Sven

  • Spacious bed/sitting room with small but complete kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Lovely and very private spot in the lush garden of a beautifull villa. Shady terrace which looked like a perfect spot to enjoy during warmer months. 20 minutes walk/3 or 4 bus stops from metro Ottaviano/Vaticano, so not right in the heart of Rome but in a quiet neighbourhood. The days before we slept in the centre so we really appreciated the quiet nights at Marcella's apartment. Marcella was very kind, she allowed us to check in around 10.30 in the morning instead of in the afternoon. We really felt at home!

    Response from Marcella:

Thank you Maria, I’m very pleased to meet you and Engel and gave your hospitality in my family home!

  • Marcella and her Dad were remarkably welcoming. We loved staying in the cozy little (though surprisingly spacious) apartment sticked to the side of their beautiful family house. The location on the Vatican side of Rome is fantastic. It feels very private and quiet, but then there are a lot of shops nearby and the bus stop is literally two minutes away from the door. Wifi, kitchen facilities etc - impeccable. Thank you Marcella!

    Response from Marcella:

Thank you Yulca, I’m very pleased to meet you and your brother and gave your hospitality in my family home.

  • The house is very quaint: it is a separate unit equipped with everything (including a kitchenette!), adjacent to a historic villa. It has a very beautiful garden (even in winter time! - including orange trees and lemon trees), and it is very quiet, as the road leading to it is closed for car traffic. Marcella was a very nice host, she waited for us with panetone and champaign to celebrate New Year's Eve, and she quickly addressed all our requests. The room is ideal for couples or even families, as it is quite spacious, and well equipped. We also loved the dog, Paco -- very friendly and polite to the guests! :)

The house is not very central, but it is well connected to the major tourist attractions via the Metro A line. Vatican can be reached by walking (15 minutes or so).

We definitely recommend this to anyone wishing to explore Rome or to spend some time in Italy!

  • Really nice 'home' with green terrace. We loved to play with the dog, Paco, and we really enjoyed our stay in this cosy little house next to Marcella's wonderful monumental familyhouse. Thanks!

  • If you know your way around Rome and Vatican City is where you want to be then Marcello's is perfect. She is helpful kind and let me use her computer when I was having difficulties accessing my tickets for the Vatican.

I am happy to open my home to guests and to share with them a quiet and relaxing place, a welcoming haven, where they can plan their visits, from which to explore the wonders of the region and to rest after long walks and hikes to explore the beautiful Italy. I like to play sports, especially if they bring me in contact with nature such as cycling, sailing, long walks. I love animals. For my training as a restorer of works of art I love historical places and safeguarded them with respect and attention. My passion and my hobby is now working with old everyday objects to bring them to life and even to a different function, mixing a little card. When I can cut the time for myself between work and family, I love to read and listen to good music.
