Visiting a child at Dartmouth? Coming for business at DHMC? Want a fall color trip, summer lake escape, or winter cross-country ski getaway in New England?
Our place is perfect for you. Sleep in this gold jewel box of a bedroom with comfortable queen-sized bed, Italian marble floors and a giant picture window with an incredible view of the lake, mountains, and stars. Private bath with shower and bathtub is attached to your room.
In summer, step out the front door for kayaking, fishing, or swimming in Mascoma Lake, or out the back door to hike or bike the 20-mile Northern Rail Trail between Lebanon and Grantham NH; a short walk along the trail brings you to the Mascoma river for fly fishing. We can lend you the kayak, a bike, and/or basic fishing tackle, or feel free to bring your boat for waterskiing or other adventures.
In winter, snowshoe across the frozen lake or on the trail, or ice-skate on our front yard rink. Small kids love to sled down the hill! Warm up afterward with cocoa in front of the wood stove. We have snowshoes to lend for adults and kids, or bring your skis or snowmobile to use on the trail.
We're a 10 minute drive to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and a 15 minute drive to Dartmouth College, too.
The room is perfect for a couple. We have a child and welcome children; if you bring a child or two along, they can sleep on an air mattress we'll provide in our son's playroom, or on a futon in the living room, adjacent to your room.
NEW: We now have a gorgeous new 3 person outdoor hot tub with a view of the lake!
A NOTE ABOUT PRICING: For certain dates, you will see the price is markedly higher; $150/night. On these dates, the price is for the run of the house; you'll have the place to yourself and the house on those dates can accommodate 4-5 people instead of the usual 2-3. Also these dates only *may* include (depending on the timing of your visit) a trip to a local Vermont CSA farm and a free basket of local, seasonal organic produce for you to use during your stay; contact us for details about whether this perk is available for the dates you book.
Jeremy and his family were incredibly warm, accommodating, and friendly hosts. It was a pleasure staying with them, in their beautiful home. We enjoyed a lovely weekend, and the hot-tub overlooking the lake was a great way to relax our sore muscles after a long day of skiing!
Jeremy is a kind and welcoming host. The room was very cozy with an incredible lake view. Looking forward for another visit to Lebanon, NH.
Stayed with Jeremy while attending a wedding in White River Junction, VT. His place is SO great: hot tub, kayaks, lake frontage with a small beach, and lovely views of the lake from the bedroom and the attached deck. I'd absolutely come back...nice guy too!
Nice and clean accommodations, great views, and swimming.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Jeremy, his family, and cat (I think her name was Turtle?) were wonderful hosts - they could not have been more accommodating. The bedroom and bath were absolutely lovely and well situated in the home. As promised, we were able to use their kitchen and living room. Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy more amazing views of the lake and all the outdoor equipment (floating slide, kayaks, hot tub, trampoline), so we might have to make a return visit! Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay with a very lovely host. Our bedroom was roomy and quite comfortable, with a wide view of the lake and the starry sky. The attached bathroom was also convenient. We wish we could have stayed longer to have time for a swim or a dip in the hot tub.
I enjoyed a very peaceful and quiet stay with Jeremy and family on the lake. The bed was super-comfy and the private bath was a nice feature, too. The family made me feel very welcome:)
We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful house on the lake.
Jeremy and his family are welcoming hosts. They made especial effort to give us space and privacy, leaving soon after our arrival but being available to answer questions by phone as needed. For your visit, keep in mind the kitchen and living room are shared spaces nonetheless.
Unfortunately, due to the rain, we didn't get to fully enjoy the lake, kayaks and floating slide, but all are made available to guests, as well as the hot tub.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a lakeside retreat, we recommend Jeremy's place.
Note: The power went out for a few hours. It's something that Jeremy reported happens infrequently and it came back within the same day, but if you are visiting in a hot month or need to be reliably "wired", this might be an issue for you.
Jeremy is a very kind host who makes you feel welcome in his home and can come and go as you please. He shares all his fun outdoor gear and it is a treat to be out by the lake, the stars are amazing at night! Jeremy also knew where to get great beer and had coffee out in the morning for us. All in all we had a great time and would recommend Jeremy's home to anyone. Thanks Jeremy!
