Comfy bed in friendly Homestel #5

Loft - Shared room · Taaffe Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11205, United States

The Space

***Free coffee and tea***
***Free access to the American Museum of Natural History***

I am renting out beds in my 2-bedroom apartment in Clinton Hill.
It is a spacious loft on the 5th floor of an elevator and security camera building.
It has an open concept kitchen and living room combo, so it feels very spacious. In addition to that, it has a 12 feet tall ceiling, with giant windows.
The room will be shared which is 180 square feet. It is as big as 2 rooms, with that high ceiling, it can fit like 10 people, but I will only put 4 people in it.
The G train is only 2 blocks away, and the bus 38 will lead you to downtown Brooklyn, while the bus 48 will lead you to Williamsburg and Greenpoint.
The famous doughnut store Dough is only a couple blocks away.
The supermarket is right downstairs.
In general, it has a convenient location. Did I mention, it's only a couple blocks away from Pratt Institute?
People in the building are friendly, and a mix between college students and young families.
So if you come to New York, come visit Brooklyn.
I am renting this out as a shared room because the more the merrier. I want people come to New York make friends, create memories, so I will throw dinner parties sometimes.

Check In
  • I actually didn't sleep at the room as I have found a flatshare for my stay in NYC prior to my arrival. However, I have appreciated the way she took care of me in order to make sure everything was okay and in order to help me if I have had any problems!

  • What a fantastic place! Clean, spacious, one block to the subway and most of all friendly and welcoming. Great kitchen/living area. Kristi and Jess (the two australian girls) are fantastic as well as the other guests. Had a marvellous time. While the area is not manhattan with all its nightlife, theres plenty around and its safe with lots of design students from the Pratt Institute. If you're just starting out in NYC its a great base from which to start and explore.

  • I really enjoyed staying at Hannahs place. The people I stayed with in the room were nice and getting to Manhattan or Williamsburg is really easy, because of the nearby Subway station. So if you are on a trip to New York and don't want to pay that much for a hostel, I can really recommend this place.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so kind and very helpful with everything. They also organized a Halloween party. It's definitely a great place where one could meet easily other travelers.

The place was quite comfortable and clean. However, the cleanliness also depends a lot on the people who are staying at the place at the same time.

Location was also not to bad. It was pretty easy to move around and get to the city due to the good public transportation connection with the metro station or the short distance to manhattan in order to travel by cab.

Anyways, i highly recommend a stay at Hannah's place!

I moved to California after highschool in Vietnam. Then I moved to New York after college in San Jose. I want to become an entrepreneur, and work on opening my hostel in Brooklyn in the near future. It has been a year since I rent out my apartment on airbnb. I met many interesting people all around the world. At this moment, I am in California, hoping to start my own food truck, and non-profit organization. My friend Stephanie who travels around the world with her silk in now in charge of my place. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us.
