Great experience staying at this Hostel. It is an older building, but very clean and well renovated. Most of all, the hosts are very warm and welcoming. Within walking distance of the Port if you come in through Buquebus from Buenos Aires. The neighborhood feels fairly safe, and inside the hostel I felt right at home. If your interested in looking for long term housing in Buenos Aires, this is the perfect place. This hostel has more permanent residents than weekend guests and you'll surely feel in good company there long term. Isabella was extremely welcoming and helped me know where I should go around in the city and even invited me to join her and the other residents for drinks and a night out. It was a great weekend. Would definitely return.

I absolutely would recommend this hostel to any traveller or couple. Fabrizio and Veronika were so hospitable. The balcony overlooks the port. The high ceilings add charm to this home. The bathrooms are especially clean. MOST importantly the location is excellent, within 10 minutes walk you can see almost all of the tourist attractions.

Fantastic! Marcos is a warm, kind, inviting and knowledgeable host—the kind of man that builds and designs his own home like a work of art, and has a secret jazz club in his basement, is the kind of man you want to meet in MV. Anytime I go back to MV I will make a point to drop in and say hi again. Thanks Marcos!

Stayed for one night - the hosts were friendly and the listing was as described on Airbnb. The hostel has a beautiful roof-top view of the port. The neighborhood was great during the day, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops close by.

Good company, good location, good price, and a great view of the port. Rooms are simple and clean. Very welcoming hosts. I would recommend Montevideo Chic Hostel to anyone passing through or staying for a while longer who wants to meet fellow travelers from all over the world.

The hosts were great! Offered city recommendations and were very helpful throughout the stay. Two things to consider about this hostel. First, the location is a bit sketchy. Wouldn't really recommend exploring at night in that area. Second, the rooms facing the street are very noisy. Be aware of this if you are expecting a good night's rest.
