Our aim at Montevideo Chic is to offer clean, well kept accommodation, great service, in a central location, at an affordable price. The property offers:
Clean, well equipped shared bathrooms
Spacious common areas
Sun terrace with bay view
The house is a piece of Montevideo's history, full of colonial charm and period features. It was built in 1890 by the Country's premier furniture producer, Caviglia Brothers. 120 years later, it has been fully refurbished to comply with modern standards for accommodation, but still retaining its original features and atmosphere.
Montevideo Chic Hostel is only 3 blocks from Plaza Matriz, the heart of Montevideo, with its Cathedral and Cabildo (its colonial Government House). Most sights are on your doorstep!
This part of Montevideo, known as Ciudad Vieja (the Old Town) is home to nearly all its historic buildings, museums and sights. It also offers a wealth of bars, restaurants, night clubs, art galleries, shops and more - and, of course, Uruguay's most important theatre, Teatro Solís. So most daytime and nighttime activities will be just a short stroll away!
