PRICING IS NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON WHEN, WHO, HOW MANY AND WHAT WE FEEL LIKE DOING.....ASK, YOU NEVER KNOW. All negotiations are conducted through Airbnb until finalized. We honor this commitment so please do not ask to try and negotiate avoiding Airbnb. Not one person has ever stayed in our home that has not claimed it the best hotel they have ever enjoyed (seriously). Our home is a 1940s Austin limestone house in a heavily wooded old neighborhood 5 minutes from downtown (even with heavy traffic) and 15 from the airport (same). We have 3 bedrooms (4 if we are not on site for your stay, but we usually are) plus a tv room that has 2 full size futons avail - to rent. There is a lovely high porch in front that is perfect for unwinding after or taking your morning coffee. Each room has wireless internet and cable (website hidden) room streams netflix and has blueray as does large guest room. There is a 6 ft Kawai Ebony Grand Piano that may be used with respect. There are 3 fireplaces (one outside). We are 3 minutes from the Mueller parks and ponds which makes lovely walks. There are pets onsite - A siberian husky and two cats. We will be onsite but remain as invisible as possible. The home is specatcular for get togethers, within reason. It is decorated from our years of travelling abroad. It is within walking distance (5 minutes) of a number of restaurants, shopping, grocery store, cleaners. We would like to rent to a group rather than multiple single persons. I speak french, english, and spanish so those visiting from Europe are very very welcome. We will help in any way we can with logistics and making sure you see the best of Austin and eat in the most interesting places. Come have a stunning vacation and do Austin or maybe SXSW right. We are very very relaxed people. Come. REMEMBER EVERYTHING IS NEGOTIABLE, DEPENDS ON OUR MOOD. JUST ASK AND WE'LL SEE. IT IS HARD TO SET PRICING FOR THE VARIETY OF SITUATIONS OUR GUESTS PRESENT SO ASK AND MAYBE IT WILL WORK.
Remember EVERY VISIT IS NEGOTIABLE. IT DEPENDS ON OUR MOOD. SO ASK. Enjoy, it is meant to be lived in and enjoyed but please respect that it is our home and our refuge. GUESTS must have references if we are not staying in house as hosts. We will be here to guide you to all the best in Austin. PLEASE, NO SMOKING inside the house.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience! David and Cynthia made our trip to Austin one of the best traveling experiences we have ever had. Their home is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. When they tell you to make yourself comfortable they absolutely mean it.
Some of the members of our group were skeptical of staying with strangers, but those feelings changed the minute we walked in the door. They made us feel like we were visiting family.
David had wonderful suggestions of places to visit in Austin, and even offered to give us a tour of the city. Their home is located in a very central part of the city, and a cab ride downtown only costs between $9-13.
If you ever have the chance to stay with David and Cynthia do not pass it up. You will enjoy your stay so much you will never want to leave!
We had a truly great stay. David and Cynthia are the best hosts I have ever met. Next to the front door, on the lovely porch, is a sign which says: 'Bienvenidos, mi casa es us casa'. And that says it all!!
This is a fantastic get away in Austin! Close enough to be in downtown in 10 minutes AND you get to hang out with true Austinites.Further extra added bonus, I had fantastic coffee and goodies in the morning on the amazing front porch as well as expert advice on places to shop, eat, hang out and have a glass of wine. I can't imagine a more authentic and laid back place to stay with the most gracious and low key host and hostess that love to entertain!
