Beautiful, spacious apartment in the heart of Ft Greene, Brooklyn. Located on the fourth floor of a quiet tree-lined street, every room has large windows, including west-facing windows in the living room and bedroom that fill the apartment with gorgeous afternoon and evening light. The apartment is tastefully and comfortably furnished and is full of artwork, plants, books and beautiful things we have collected in our travels around the world.
The location is incredibly convenient with numerous subway lines within a couple blocks: 2,3,4,5, N, R, Q, B, D, C, G trains and Long Island Railroad all within a couple minutes walk, 10 minute taxi ride across Manhattan or Brooklyn Bridge to downtown Manhattan.
The neighborhood is diverse, interesting, beautiful and safe. There are many wonderful restaurants and cafes, organic groceries, a local bookstore, movies and theater at the historic Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM – located just two blocks from the apartment). Fort Greene Park is just a half block away, at the end of our block. Every Saturday there is an excellent Farmer’s Market and great shopping at the Brooklyn Flea, both just a five minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment is actually a 3-bedroom, but we use the two smaller rooms as our workspaces and will leave them closed. You will have the rest of the apartment to yourself including the spacious bedroom (with very comfortable queen-sized bed), good-sized living room (which can easily accommodate two more on a queen-sized air mattress), fully equipped kitchen with dining table, and full bath, all off a long hallway. The apartment has original hardwood floors, lots of natural light, high ceilings. It is warm and cozy in the winter with radiators in every room. We don’t have any pets and we don’t smoke. There is wireless internet in the apartment.
I’ve lived in this apartment since 1996 and have been very happy here. My husband has been here with me since 2006 and he loves it too. It is peaceful and quiet but still right in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood and very close to downtown Manhattan.
We are happy to answer any questions you have and will gladly give you suggestions about places to eat, things to do or how to get around.
My husband and I just spent a lovely week in tiana&yohann's apt. We regret we didn't meet them but they've been really nice & attentive with us finding a friend who greeting us at home, and leaving us suggestions about things to do, maps and infos about different local places to visit etc.
It was our first time in Fort Greene Brooklyn and we appreciated it too much: it's a neighborhood very cool, safe but also vibrant and interesting. There are many cafés, restaurants, organic groceries, a bookstore, a theatre and a lot of subway stations and buses all around, so you can really go everywhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
Tiana&Yohann's apt is located near a Park, on the 4th floor of an old typical building in a tree-lined street and it's quiet and full of gorgeous natural light!
We loved and enjoyed too much their special place so confortable and charming, well equipped and where we felt home.
We particularly recommend this beautiful apt to everyone wants enjoy a real experience of Brooklyn (Fort Greene) lifestyle, walking or biking along the roads; for people who desire a place confortable and quiet after Manhattan's noise, coming back "home" looking at amazing books, surronded by wonderful artistic objects and magnificent photographs (by Tiana).
Tiana and Yohann have been really nice to us, it was great to see how happy they were to welcome us.
Their apartment is cute and charming with all the equipment you need.
The neighborhood is amazing : full of life, bars, restaurants, so that you can really enjoy Brooklyn lifestyle. We were 2 two grils and it was completely safe. There are many subway stations all around (the farest one is 10 mn walk) and you can easily go everywhere you want and you'll be happy to come back "home" at the apartment.
My wife and I spend a week in Tiana's apartment. It's located in our favorite Brooklyb neighborhood. Just a few blocks away from a 20 minute commute to Manhattan and steps from DeKalb ave.
