Koming and his staff were wonderful hosts. The breakfast of fruits, tea, and an egg, cheese, and tomato jaffle were tasty! He answered all of my questions promptly before my trip and made me feel welcome. The pool and gardens were lovely (although I didn't have time to go in the pool). It's a great prime central Ubud location, close to many excellent restaurants, shops, spas, and very close to monkey forest, yet his villas were peaceful & quiet. And although I didn't have a chance to go to yoga, it's about a 15 minute walk to Yoga Barn.
His place is about 45 minutes drive to the sacred water temple, "Pura Tirta Empul", where I participated in the water purification ritual.
Koming's Bungalows are almost directly across the street from the wonderful Cafe Wayan & Bakery (staff is excellent), where you can take different cooking classes. I ate dinner here twice, it was so delicious. They have an amazing Sunday Balinese Traditional Buffet for a steal at 190,000 Indonesian Rupiah! Make a reservation to participate in a cooking class and or to get a good table! The grounds are surrounded by lush beautiful gardens and the tables are fairly private!
Koming even drove me back to Sanur after I checked out, which was really helpful. He also offers tours by car for an additional fee. The AC and fans worked well, and wifi was pretty strong. Beds were comfortable, and nice hot showers in the large bathroom. All of the buildings in Ubud have a bit of a musty smell, because it's so humid & the AC is on all the time. I don't fault Koming, his staff, or his property. Just an FYI. It's actually most of SE Asia that is super humid and damp.
I'd definitely stay at Koming's place again. Thank you!
