The house is just one block back from a quiet beach on the gorgeous Maine coast, and 5 minutes walk from the iconic Black Point Inn.
This quaint and rustic cottage was originally built in 1886 as a summer home. Many of the original features of the home remain giving it a timeless romantic feel. The house is within walking distance to all that Prout's Neck has to offer. Scarborough Beach is a stone's throw from the front door and has miles of beach to explore with the ocean waves crashing on the sand. Ferry Beach is on the bay facing Pine Point and Old Orchard Beach with white sand and calm waters. A short walk or bike ride away, the Black Point Inn offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a wonderful bar where you can watch the sun set over the western beach. Take the exceptional cliff walk around Prout's Neck to Winslow Homer's Studio, or spend an afternoon exploring the Bird Sanctuary. At home, sit on the screened in wrap around porch and read a book or just relax after a day at the beach.
The cottage has two bathrooms, one with a four claw tub and one with a shower. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen and large screened in porch on the ground floor, and the three bedrooms on the second. The master bedroom has a full bed, the second bedroom has one twin, and the third bedroom has two twins. For additional guests, or if you want to sleep on the porch to enjoy the sea breezes, there is also a double air mattress with a built-in pump.
The back yard is fenced in for your furry friends to enjoy along with you, and the deck has a grill, seating and a hammock. The washer and dryer are located next to the kitchen, and the living room has a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, and the modem/router for wifi.

You can't beat the location of this home. It's a short walk to a beautiful half moon beach and an awesome cliff walk. The house is cozy with a great screened in wrap around porch.
Scott was great--responsive and caring. Hope to see him again!
Perfectly placed, quaint cottage. If I was going back again I would certainly stay there.
Amazing location. Two terrific beaches (Ferry and Scarborough) are a short walk in either direction. I took my daughter to the beach twice a day. Can also walk to Black Point Inn for lunch/dinner. House is exactly as the pictures indicate: very old and Maine-ish, lots of knick knacks. Size and space is better than the pictures. Fireplace works and is fun for the cooler summer evenings. No A/C, but the shaded porch is very comfortable during the day, and the ocean breeze and fans make for comfortable sleeping.
Location, location, location! A short walk to two gorgeous yet completely different beaches really made the stay. The community is indeed chic and we felt completely safe and comfortable there. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you might need. The wraparound front porch is a wonderful addition for a rainy day.
