The Space

Hi and thank you for your interest in our property!

This is a fully furnished first floor apartment in a large, old New Orleans home that my wife and I live in (two stories above). This is the place for you if you want a crisp, clean, and safe place you'll love to call home for your short stay. Everything is brand new from wall to ceiling. The house is safely located on S. Carrollton Ave within five minutes of Tulane Univ, Loyola Univ, and most Uptown neighborhoods and restaurants. Just minutes away from the interstate, you can get anywhere you want to be downtown in a hurry as well. It is approximately 10 minutes from Bourbon St. and within walking distance to the streetcar line which will get you anywhere for $1.25, plus give you a great scenic view of Uptown New Orleans along the way.

This property has everything you need to feel as though you're living a spoiled life:
1) Accommodates up to 5 people with queen bed, double sofa/sleeper and single sofa sleeper (more details below)
2) Huge Bathroom - jacuzzi tub with waterfall faucet and handshower along with a separate shower with double shower heads, granite counter bathroom with make-up space vanity and porcelain tile floors
3) Flatscreen swivel mounted HD TV/DVD Player in bedroom
4) Granite kitchen with all stainless steel appliances
5) Decked out with all the kitchen items you could need
6) Huge 42" 3D Flat-screen swivel-mounted TV with Full HD Cable with HBO and 10 pairs of 3D glasses
7) LG Washer and Dryer Combo All-In-One Unit (put clothes in, go out on the town, then take them out and they're washed and dried)
8) Top-of-the-line remote controlled central air and heat
9) Wireless internet
10) Surround sound audio throughout the home in every room with wall volume controls and iPod/iPhone/bluetooth hookups
11) Off street parking
12) Within walking distance to Robert's Fresh Market, Walgreens, Ye Olde College Inn Restaurant, and Rock N Bowl Bar and Dance Hall
13) Remote-controlled security system (as an unnecessary bonus precaution) with every window and door monitored plus a motion detector
14) Fully furnished with brand new furniture and sleeping arrangements in three distinct spaces: 1) Bedroom has a queen bed (as seen in picture) 2) Living room has a couch that converts to a full sized bed (sleeps two very comfortably) 3) Office space when you walk in has a smaller sofa/ sleeper that comfortably sleeps 1 but could potentially sleep two snugglers
15) Much, much, more.

You must stay here if you want to live comfortably with all the amenities you could imagine during your NOLA stay. Ideal location and space for any individual or small group who want to be close to the action but still have a quiet place to lay their heads at night. You can come and go as you please, as the apartment has a totally separate entrance. The one drawback is that it is a ground floor apartment, so it has a less than ideal ceiling height.

Because of the quality of this space, a $150 deposit is required to secure the unit. Your deposit will be refunded once your stay is complete, assuming there is no damage or theft of property. We are open to conversations about pets and shorter stays than 3 days, so feel free to email and inquire.

Now that you know more about the property, we would like to briefly note that we understand the potential for some apprehension around renting from a private citizen. We are very involved in the community, and my husband is an elementary school principal who, much as a result of his position, believes that integrity in all areas of life is paramount as he sets an example for his staff and students. We want you to be aware that there are unfortunately people in this wonderful city that have run property rental scams, so no matter what property you choose to rent, please go through a reputable site such as this. In order to ease any concerns, we are happy to speak with you on the phone and are open to showing the property to friends or family that may be in town prior to your visit. To talk or schedule a time for someone to come by, please call me at (phone number hidden).

If you're interested in this beautiful property, please reach out to us! We'll get back to you as soon as possible. We are listing the place in some other spots, so please know the calendar may be booked for certain dates that are not current on this calendar. Until we receive your deposit, we do not guarantee the place is yours. We'll do our best to be fair, honest, and if I say you have the place, it's yours. Though I book solely through FlipKey and airbnb, you can get more contact info and reach out directly by visiting New Orleans (website hidden) and type "Spoil Yourself" into the housing search.

The price reflects our normal weekday rate, though weekend and holiday/festival/special event time are higher but everything is negotiable depending on length of stay.

Warmest Regards,
Tiffany & Mark

  • This is a fantastic apartment. Clean, new appliances, comfy bed, a two person spa (!!!) and a nice neighbourhood. Host kept in touch and made everything very easy. There is a bus stop across the road that goes into town, or you can take a scenic tram ride into town past beautiful old New Orleans houses. I would definitely recommend this place.

  • This was the perfect apartment for our group in New Orleans and the best introduction we could have had with Airbnb.

Tiffany was great with communicating with me and her check in/home details were very thorough. We did require some assistance with stupid little things while we were there, but both Tiffany and her husband were quick to assist us.

The apartment itself was great. It is small, but accommodates 5. The ceilings are low, probably only six feet or a little higher. Everything in the apartment seems to be new and is in working order. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves.

The apartment was great and we look forward to being returning guests. The only downsides are minor. The upstairs neighbor is loud. Very loud. It might not be a problem for some people, as it is mostly during the day, but we were trying to catch up on our sleep. There is one parking spot off the street, but it is tight. We did have an issue of the spot being taken a few times, but the hosts were very apologetic, even helping us to get out of the very tight space and parking the car on the street. There is a ton of street parking, maybe not directly in front of the house, but definitely close by.

All in all, we enjoyed the apartment. We has a group of girls and guests who all had ties to New Orleans, so we mostly needed a place to hang out and catch up, and this was perfect. We were also able to go fairly close to grab a pizza and get groceries.

  • Tiffany was a life safer!!!! I am in shock with the serenity, safety, and quality of the home. Wow double wow triple wow. More extravagant than most of the hotels I've stayed at. Definitely stay here. 100% amazed with the quality of this space.

  • This was a great location in New Orleans. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen is great for any of your cooking needs. The location is right near the trolley so you can easily get around the city. An absolutely stunning experience, this is a great place, and I can't recommend it enough.

  • The apartment was just as described-clean and sparkling new! Check was so easy. The kitchen was great-everything you need to cook a meal was there. Bathroom also was roomy with great water pressure. As previously noted ceilings are low (my 6'1" son had to duck through one doorway). And I did not even attempt to squeeze my mini van into the extremely tight parking spot. There is street parking although a few times we were half a block away. Location was very convenient to Tulane U. and Audabon park.

  • Tiffany was a wonderful host and we loved her apartment. Downtown was easy to get to via public transportation or taxi (~30 mins for bus/trolley, ~5 for taxi). Would definitely recommend staying with Tiffany!

  • The reservation was canceled 37 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • The folks in new orleans were the perfect hosts. They did not bother us but were right there if we needed anything. The apartment was fresh and clean. It felt perfectly safe yet so close to the french quarters. The parking space was very tight and shared with other tennants so not always available. I was really glad my husband was there because I would still be there trying to park! We would recommend this place to everyone. It was lovely.

  • The apartment was great, very clean and all the furnishings were in great shape. We had all we needed from towels and extra blankets to suggestions for cool restaurants around town. It is a great location, not too far from the French Quarter or Garden District or Carrollton. We had a fantastic weekend. A couple details to include which I wasn't aware of until we arrived: #1 the ceilings are low, about 6'6". Being 6'3" I would hit my head on some of the doorways. #2 There aren't any doors between the living room and bedroom, so not a ton of privacy if you are bringing a group of four. Neither of these things were negatives for our experience, it worked great for our weekend but just thought I would share.

  • Our hosts were great and the space was perfect! Everything was exactly as advertised and my whole group had a great time during our weekend in New Orleans. Thanks for everything!
