Our rustic cabin is slightly larger than a tiny house and a million miles away from a modern home. What it lacks in stature it makes up for in authentic charm - a huge granite fireplace, a-frame attic bedrooms that feel like camping when you were a kid and a huge sunny deck to watch the animals saunter by. Whilst keeping one foot firmly planted in the 1950's, our cabin has embraced modern times - to provide you a warm, comfortable place to stay, with all the comforts of home.

The space
Our cabin is our second home and perhaps our first love. We find it hard to leave and we've found the same to be true of some of our guests!

Although we are right in the center of town, in a regular city neighborhood, there is plenty of solitude and nature. The cabin sits on a large lot surrounded by over an acre of forest service and conservancy land. There is a seasonal creek that runs through the backyard and occasionally a bear falls asleep in the tree. In the morning the birds sing and at night the coyotes howl in the nearby wilderness. It's hard to pick a favorite season. It is always beautiful here.

Out of respect for our cabins petite size (3 small bedrooms and the worlds smallest bathroom) our cabin is perfect for up to 4 people. We allow doggies on a case by case basis.

We only have parking for two cars on our driveway. Due to the City of South Lake Tahoe regulations there is no street parking allowed.

Please acknowledge you have read the rules when making a reservation. Additionally, please have a completed Airbnb profile prior to booking and follow the prompts. Thank you!

Other things to note
Our cabin is in the City of South Lake Tahoe on a regular neighborhood street. From the pictures it looks like we are in the middle of nowhere!

Although our cabin looks like it is in the middle of nowhere, its not! We are in a regular city neighborhood on a regular city street.

We are fortunate that our home sits on a large lot and is surrounded by over an acre of forest service land. It's a wildlife corridor and there are coyotes, fox, rabbits and bears that wander through periodically.

We are within 10 minutes to the beach, lake, Heavenly. Just over ten minutes to the Desolation Wilderness and the casinos at Stateline.

British turned American now happily basking in the sun and snow in Santa Cruz and South Lake Tahoe, CA. Favorite pastimes involve any sport that requires having a heart rate above 200bpm - mostly cycling, trail running and being at altitude with a very heavy backpack. I have an obsessive compulsive drive for yard sales and thrift stores which explains how it can take eight hours to drive the 220 miles from Santa Cruz to SLT. My partner in crime, Tore, is Dutch, tall and speaks way too many languages (Dutch, English, Spanish, French, German). He has a passion for buttermilk, rowing and our pit-bull mix Pumpkin. We are really excited to share our little cabin on airbnb and will do everything possible to make sure your stay is super.
