Description

The space

Escape to a private studio guest suite in beautiful remote Hana, Maui. Price includes all applicable taxes. The guest suite includes a king size bed. There's a well-equipped cooking facility and full private bath with tub and shower. A great place to wind down after a long day of exploring the wonders of East Maui. After a quiet night's rest, dozens of beautiful rain-forest songbirds will gently wake you in the morning.

The private and secluded entrance to the suite includes free Wi-Fi service to keep you connected to the rest of the world while you enjoy your privacy. We request that you check in before dark.

The kitchen is fully stocked with Cuisinart, blender, stainless steel peculator coffeepot, mixer, toaster, a fondue pot and sterno (we have wonderful Maui raised beef that can be purchased at the local grocery stores in Hana), and just about every utensil you would need to make delicious meals.

The Hana Fresh Stand at Hana Health, across the street from us is open Tuesday-Thursday and sells fresh vegetables they grow on the property. The Ono Farms stand in Hana town is open daily with local produce. The refig has a freezer so, if you like ice cream and can find Roselani Ice Cream (made on Maui) at the Hana stores - this is an experience you do not want to miss - every flavor is delicious.

We have lime, lemon, papaya, coconut, avocado, banana, mango and breadfruit trees on the property. Something is almost always producing fruit. We have a garden with fresh basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, oregano, tomatoes, okra and butternut squash (when in season).

The property is rejuvenating and Hana brings out creativity - everyone always says how wonderful they feel and that their only regret is that they didn't plan to stay longer.

Explore Hana Town and visit the local shops and food stands along the road. Visit amazing tropical wonders such as the black sand beach at Waianapanapa State Park, Hamoa Bay, the Pools at `Ohe`o Gulch, and the unforgettable bamboo forest along the Pipiwai Trail in Kipahulu. Taste ono grinds and true organic vegetables and fruits at local markets. Meet the locals and experience what true Hawaiian culture and life is all about.

Take note that the road to Hana is a long and winding one - both ways. Be prepared to spend a full day driving one way. We recommend driving the highway in its entirety, it is an experience in its own. On your return to the other side of the island, if you time your adventure right, you can witness sunset at Haleakala Crater - - 10,000 feet above the Central Valley of Maui!

Your journey to Hana - in car, on bike, or even on foot - is waiting, come visit!

Our family has lived on Maui for many years. We love living in Hana and enjoying the food from our gardens, fruit from our abundant banana, papaya, mango, lime, lemon, and avocado trees, and eggs from our hens. We look forward to your stay with us!
