Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Secluded! Meadowlark is a 1938 curvaceous 40' classic PNW cruiser. Authentic bathroom, kitchen, sleeping quarters and period memorabilia. Roomy salon for meals/games. She sits high and dry in her own meadow far away from the maddening crowd. We are taking special measures between guests to sanitizing surfaces. Clean, Cozy & Private. " the most interesting Airbnb we've stayed in yet.The Meadowlark is comfortable and charming...night sky is amazing"-another satisfied guest. Easy self check in

The space
A rich warm solid mahogany interior. Relive the yachting world of the 40's in this spacious wooden bridge deck cruiser of Lake Union heritage, designed in the spirit of famous Seattle marine architect, Ed Monk.Unique and outstanding design. Enjoy cocktails on the dock overlooking your own private meadow. Quiet, private and secluded, for a good nights sleep. Single nights welcomed. Secure parking too.

Guest access
Sited on a couple of acres of 'regrowth' Olympic Peninsula fir, hemlock, cedar and madrone rainforest. You are welcome to wander the grounds for botanical wonders and bird and wildlife sightings. Great place for your dog to run off that road trip energy.

Other things to note
Please note: Our internet connection is DSL/CenturyLink, the best available in our backroads location. Suitable for email, and less bandwidth heavy uses. Not suitable for "work from home"

This is not an amusement park ride. She is a classic 'antique' boat, not actually built for optimum overnight accommodations. She features areas of low head room, several steps up and down to various levels, and an attendant salty boat ambiance. She's 80 years old! Boat people and adventurers love her, but she may not be appropriate for everyone. Also please note, we have a friendly dog on the premises.

Winter weather advisory: During the winter months, the boat is heated by our new heat pump/minisplit. Still, not all areas are equally warm. The pilot house/galley is very comfortable, the bunks are dry and bedding is deep and luxurious. Some might think of it as glamping. Layers and slippers are advised. The shower is outdoors but private for the hardy, with enough hot water for 5-7 minutes of 'experience.' Shower shoes and a robe are helpful. Most guests love it...see reviews.

Additional note: As an actual yacht conversion, hot water heater is small and suitable for short Navy type showers. Ppl who need 50 gal of hot water to shower will not be happy. Suitable for most experienced RV/ Boating travelers tho.
