The Space

Two separate bedrooms with a private brand-new bathroom (1920 style) that has a Jacuzzi tub a shower and headed floors. The master bedroom sleeps two and the small bedroom sleeps one. This is the listing for the cute smaller bedroom with a desk and a closet. Shared kitchen, living room and dining room. Beautiful yard with private deck. Front porch with a swing. Of course there is internet access throughout the entire house. The house is is very quiet and clean. It is located on a dead end street. I have no pets. And, the house has whole house heating/AC. Each bedroom has a vent to so you can control the temperature.

There is free parking on the street. If you will use the bus, please (website hidden) Port Authority (website hidden). The bus stop near my house is Kelly and Trenton Ave or Forbes and Braddock Ave.

If you like to go to the gym, there are several near by. I can get a guest pass for you for $10 a day or we can inquire about a weekly rate.

The neighborhood is called Regent Square. You can walk to a movie theater, coffee shops, bars, restaurant and of course we a close to Frick Park (600 acres of woods and trails) and all the universities. Right outside Pittsburgh city limit with easy access to turnpike, parkway and local bus way (takes you downtown in 20 minutes). Street parking. From the PNC baseball stadium to the Andy Warhol Museum, lots to see and do. Morning coffee/tea included.

In the morning I can lay out a simple breakfast for you to serve yourself consisting of whole grain bred, homemade preserves, seasonal fruit, coffee or tea. Enjoy breakfast in your room, dining room, back porch, or deck. If you’d rather have a hot meal, we can recommend local restaurants. I am from Europe and I grew up with wanting to save the environment. At my house your will shower with filtered water, drink filtered water and of course I recycle. Most products in the house are biodegradable.

If you want a little taste of Europe, my place will be perfect for you.

  • I had a really nice stay for two weeks at Barbara's place. My room was super comfortable, beautiful and clean and the bathroom as well. The whole house is very nice and quite and the neighbor was perfect for me. I barely saw Barbara, but she was very friendly when I had the chance to talk to her. What a nice spot! I totally recommend staying here. :)

  • Did not get to meet Barbara as she was out of town. But my weekend stay was excellent! Good sized room with enough storage - small closet to hang coats or clothes, plus adequate floor space for luggage etc. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Adequate parking options. Everything I was looking for!

  • I only met Barbara once during my three night stay in her lovely home. She was prompt with her replies and the check in process was simple. Her home is very close to Frick Park and the shops at Regent Square. I would highly recommend her and her home!

  • I had limited interaction with Barbara, but her home is very nice, very clean, and is located on a quiet street, reasonably close to Squirrel Hill and other attractions in Pittsburgh. Her communication prior to my stay was very prompt and check-in was easy. I would stay with Barbara again.

  • This was my first AirBnB experience - what a great way to start! The first night I arrived, Barbara, I, and another couple shared a bottle of wine and our stories. A very fun experience. Barbara has a lovely home near Frick Park - lovely area of Pittsburgh. Nice bedroom and gorgeous bathroom. Even though I was sharing the bathroom with the other couple, I never saw them again after the first night. This stay was a true pleasure - I look forward to staying with Barbara again.

  • Barbara and I were on separate time schedules, so we never had the opportunity to meet, but staying at her home was perfect; clean, comfortable, and in a great neighborhood. It's a lovely space.

  • This was my second time as an airbnb guest and i have been incredibly lucky both times. Barbara is a wonderful host; helpful, courteous and considerate. Her home is beautiful and particularly clean and also environmentally responsible. I most heartily recomend her place to anyone.

Hi, my name is Barbara Schwarck and I am the CEO of Clear Intentions International, an executive coaching, leadership training and change management firm. I am originally from Germany but have been calling Pittsburgh my home for the last 25 year. I know what is like to travel and would love to host you in my home. My house is pet free and quiet. I live near many bus lines and the parkway (376). If you like to jog or walk in nature, you are in luck. My house is minutes away from Frick Park. You can also walk to the grocery store, the local bar or the bank. Personally, I like to jog, practice yoga or ski. I am into personal development and I like to learn about new cultures. I look forward to hosting you.
