This is our second stay at Kinley Manor Coach House. It is a delightful little apartment with many nice touches and a convenient location to City Center or the convention center area. Rupert and Scott are excellent hosts. We intend to stay here again for our business or leisure travel
Scott made us feel very welcome and the coach house is just as described. The neighborhood is in the middle of everything. We had no trouble at all getting around.
Great Airbnb experience...lovely hosts who bent over backwards to make us comfortable, perfect little cottage with everything you might need for a short or long stay, great historic neighborhood. Highly recommended
The Kinley Manor Coach house is a beautifully crafted three story home-style listing. My girlfriend and I spent a lovely weekend by their fireplace and loved everything about the house. We were given access to the garage, which was perfect because in Portland, having a car to get around was important. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time at Kinley Manor. The house was spacious with lots of light. The bed was very comfortable and the garage was offered to us for off street parking which was great.
The location is very close to the max train (about a 10 min walk) and we were also able to walk downtown easily.
Check in and out were a breeze - thanks for the stay!
I stayed at Kinley Manor this past weekend for the Portland beer festival. The guest home was in a great location and provided a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Portland. It was located very close to a max stop, making it very easy to get around the city. The house was clean, comfortable and has a great atmosphere. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable about the city, I would highly recommend staying here.
We, Rupert Kinnard and Scott Stapley, have been the proud owners of The Kinley Manor Coach House since it's construction and official opening in June of 2006. Scott has a background as a mental health therapist and I, Rupert, am a writer/illustrator/cartoonist/graphic designer. I am also a Motown fanatic. I grew up in Chicago, IL and Scott hails from Redding, CA.
During our years as guesthouse owners, Scott and I have enjoyed welcoming people from as close as down the street to people from as far away as Saudi Arabia and Australia. When asked is our place is a Bed & Breakfast Inn, we are fond of responding, "We provide you a bed but if you would like to offer us breakfast, we would consider it."
We are both avid film lovers, frequent live theater, truly enjoy living in Portland and are very active in our community. We absolutely honor all of our guests...especially all of our return visitors.
If we had a motto I would say that it would be: "We don't look at life as having ups and downs. We see it as a series of adventures and challenges."
