LAST-MINUTE GUESTS ARE WELCOME

ALWAYS FRESH SHEETS AND TOWELS
A/C & HEAT

THE APARTMENT:

-HUGE, spacious room in a real apartment
-Apartment is two entire floors
-Great sunlight in the apartment, two big windows in the room
-Very clean private bathroom
-Fully furnished, super comfortable queen sized bed, dresser, desk, work table and bookshelf
-Towels, sheets, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste...everything you need provided!
-Personal A/C unit for the summer
-MINI FRIDGE!
-Direct, private access to backyard
-High speed wireless internet
-Complete access to full kitchen with oven, toaster, and full fridge and stove-top, condiments
-Neighbors are friendly and quiet
-Lots of street parking available (unusual for the area, ha)

Again, the room is basically it's own apartment, since it has a private bathroom and kitchenette (with mini fridge). There's an entrance from the top floor of the apartment, and also another entrance that's completely private and also connects directly to the beautiful, green backyard. It's quite nice to sit out there and have breakfast or read. I've got alot of art supplies if you want to go out there and paint or draw as well.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

This is a TRUE Williamsburg spot (directly at the base of the Williamsburg bridge)

Fun, safe and close to L & G-train Lorimer stop or Hewes JMZ stop (that's all three major trains). The JMZ train goes straight to JFK as well, for your convenience. Really the location is a huge part of what makes this place so great.

Less than 10 minute train ride to Manhattan and walk to Bedford Ave, ridiculously quick cab ride to Manhattan since we are right at the base of the Williamsburg Bridge (which is also a beautiful walk--something I would recommend if you're feeling up to it)

There are a slew of bars and restaurants, a grocery store, and a cafe called Moto that I'm quite partial to down the block (Yelp it, it's got amazing reviews) The Flat is a new bar that opened right around the block. Please check out my guidebook for more recommendations. I also could go on and on if you wanted to know more :)

5 minute walk to Dumont, Barcade, Diner, Le Barricou, Sunac Grocery Store, Gimme Coffee, Huckleberry Bar, Lady Jays, great Indian & Thai food...

We had a great time staying here in the first heat wave of the year; the downstairs digs proved cool, it was a great location and Pam offered to provide anything we needed once there:)

Pam was a very accommodating host. She was very timely responding to any questions. The apartment was indeed a very short work from Hewes Station making it easy to get in and out for Manhattan which was a plus! Room was a really good size with good attention to detail and was very clean. I would highly recommend staying at Pam's place!

First off Pam was great!!! Her apartment is immaculate, very well dressed and located in a very central location. Pam even gave us a local tour guide of some great restaurants around the apartment and convenience stores to make our stay even more comfortable. This is definitely a place I would return to.

I had a great stay in the basement of Pam's duplex for about a month. It was pretty much like having a private studio (has its own full bathroom + kitchenette) so this is an amazing deal. Her apartment is in a nice quiet area in Williamsburg, walking distance from some great bars and restaurants and easy access to the subway (M/J and G, not far from the L).

I grew up all over the world as a military brat so travel is a big part my life. Now I've been living in the same Brooklyn neighborhood for seven years and work as an art director. Since my work relates to design and space, I spend alot of time taking care of my home.

There's so much to experience in this city, it can be the best way! I can help you with recommendations for food, sights and especially the art and culture of this city--whether it's galleries, theaters, shows, music, etc. Or I can just get out of the way so you can do your thing ;)

I've had many positive experiences through airbnb and like to think I'm a pretty seasoned host at this point. I am easily reached through email or phone, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

Happy and safe travels!
