Charming 2-bedroom apartment on the third floor of our beautiful Victorian home.
This is a charming furnished 2 bedroom apartment with a full bathroom, large eat in kitchen, and a living room. It is on the top floor of a well kept Victorian home. It has a small roof deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The apartment is located within walking distance of MIT and Harvard. Central and Inman Square are less than 5 minutes away. You can walk to fine dining in Inman square where you will find an eclectic mix of restaurants. Downtown Boston is only a 10 minute train ride away. There you will find shopping areas, world-class hospitals, the convention center, and various museums. Our location is truly in Mid-Cambridge. There is a Whole Foods market and a number of cafes just down the street. Rates are subject to change during the busy season Boston Marathon, local graduations, reunions and the Regatta. The apartment is family and small pet friendly as well.

Annmarie and I have lived in this area for over 50 years. We both live on the first floor of this house and know where people want to go. We can suggest the best restaurants and attractions in the neighborhood.
Public transportation is just minutes away. There are bus stops very close as well as Red Line train stops a few blocks away.
There is no smoking in the apt. We expect our guests to be respectful of others in the house. There are no extra guests allowed unless confirmed by the owners.
Kevin was a fantastic host. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The location is fantastic and incredibly convenient for grabbing the Red line. We stayed for three nights with our daughters age 2 and 4. Kevin was very accommodating given the snow and weather challenges Boston has been facing. We would definitely stay at the Cambridge Getaway next time we visit Boston.
This a cozy and private apartment that is located on the third floor of the O'keefe house! Perfect for 3-4 adults. Kevin and his wife are wonderful hosts - friendly, warm, and quick to respond whenever we had questions or requests. They also have two friendly dogs. The place is conveniently located between Kendall and Central Squares, with many restaurants and a Whole Foods nearby. We would come back again!
Staying at Kevin's Cambridge Getaway was wonderful -- the space was warm and cozy, so much better than the sterile environment of a hotel, and the mid-1800 house is charming. Our son really loved his bed (he made a nest out of the pillows and comforter) and probably would have been content with just hanging out in the room all day. The O'Keefes are very sweet and their Leonbergers are the most astonishingly gentle gigantic dogs that we've ever met. (Our son, who is normally shy around dogs--we're cat people--wanted to go pet them every day.) The house is also very close to Inman and Central, and just a 15 minute walk to Harvard University. We'll definitely stay with the O'Keefes the next time we have a family trip to Cambridge!
Kevin and his wife warmly welcame us. The appartement was nicely decorated and convienent.
The neibourhood was great. The street was quite but there are a lot of nice restaurant not to far. +, it's close to the subway and walking distance from Harvard and MIT. (right in the middle)
We had a wonderful stay with Kevin and Anne Marie. They were so welcoming and gave us advice about the area and restaurants and things to do close by. They were so thoughtful, on our first night the snacks and drinks provided were a real treat after a long day of airplane flights. The third floor apartment was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It is also centrally located, a short walk to Harvard and MIT, a perfect location for us since our son is at MIT. We will definitely stay with them on our next visit!
Kevin and Annmarie were very welcoming and knowledgable about the area.
They couldn't be better located. Just a short walk to practically anywhere you want to be in Cambridge. Just a few step away from both Inman Square and Central Square's Red Line to Boston, yet set far enough back on a residential street to allow for a quiet, restful sleep.
The apartment itself was on the top floor of a beautiful historic home. It was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed (they thought of everything!)
I certainly recommend this bnb to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cambridge, and look forward to hopefully returning.
We booked both the 2nd and 3rd floors of Kevin's home to house family and friends for our wedding in October. Kevin and his wife were so warm, welcoming and helpful. They have the most awesome dogs, whom I was tempted to kidnap and bring back to NY with me, but they are also very quiet and unobtrusive for those guests who aren't as much of a dog person as I am.
The apartments were just what we had wanted, with every amenity provided. Annmarie and her neighbor were even generous enough to provide some beautiful shawls for the reception when I didn't have enough time to go shopping for my own. They had muffins and drinks (and coffee!!) all set to go for when my sister and her boyfriend staggered in late after a much-delayed flight from Asia.
The location is pretty convenient to Harvard Square, especially with the use of UberX (which Kevin recommended to us). Much cheaper than taxis. There is also a Wholefoods a couple of blocks away for any groceries. It really put my mind at ease to know that my mom and sister were well-situated during such a hectic and stressful time. Thanks again!!
