Really nice flat. Short walking distance from the main town. Communication was easy!! Highly recommend
Apartment was exactly as described, no problems!
Very conveniently located apartment, clean and nicely furnished. We didn't use it much but the kitchen is well equipped.
We really enjoyed our stay here - a good stopping point for exploring Harrogate and York which is a 30-40 min train trip.
While we agree with other reviewers on the cleanliness and convenience of this basement apartment, our experience was certainly not what we expected. Despite Rafael's responsiveness and attempts to get us help, most problems remained unresolved. There were workmen working on renovations 2 floors above us, with noisy saws, drills, hammers etc from 8am to after 7pm at night for the first 4 days of our visit (including New Year's Eve and Day!). The stairs to the front door are dark and dangerous. There was no light the first 2 days, and then the light came on until it detected motion, when it went off. These stairs are steep, wet, full of leaves and dangerous. We had defective radiator and no heat the first 2 days. The thermostat is not available as it is in the offices above. Glass walls to bathroom and small bedroom, so lack of privacy. Lack of fire instructions with no fire exits marked. The furniture was inadequate for the number of people advertised, and not as advertised. No way to clean - dirt and leaves blew in through entrance. No bedside light or shelving in small bedroom. No reading lights in living room. No DVD. Towels were worn and grey. On street parking was free and accessible. Location very convenient.
Nice flat, very central.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rafael's flat. It was spotlessly clean and very smart, and in an excellent location very close to the centre of town. Rafael was extremely helpful and responded very quickly to our queries before we arrived. I happily recommend this flat to anyone visiting Harrogate - a lovely place!
Great apartment in a great very central location, but equally still located on a nice quite street with easy roadside parking. We stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night and were very impressed, I will look to stay again when I'm next in the area. I do agree with the previous comments re an external security light being needed as you approach the steps especially as the nights are now closing in but it didn't detract from a very well appointed apartment in great condition and in a great location.
Beautiful flat in a great location near to the station and the shops. Perfect place to stay if you are holidaying in Harrogate, or as I was attending a corporate conference and didn't fancy a hotel.
Rafael's apartment was beautiful, exactly as the pictures show.
I stayed here with my parents for two nights. It was perfect for our visit, and the facilities were exactly as described. The rooms were immaculately clean, beds very comfortable, and we were very pleased to make use of the kitchen and laundry facilities (the combined washer/dryer is definitely a huge plus with the unpredictable British weather!).
A short stroll to the local Waitrose and local restaurants, with easy parking access right outside on the street. The only suggestion for improvement to the apartment would be to install an outdoor light at the door for better visibility at night time.
Unfortunately, we were unable to connect to the wifi despite both my and Rafael's best efforts to contact his apartment manager to fix the situation. (It was the weekend, but perhaps a stern word to the building manager is required, given it is her job to answer these calls...? She was also listed as the "emergency contact".)
Nonetheless, Rafael was extremely responsive to all my queries and very apologetic for the inconvenience. The apartment was otherwise perfect for us, and sometimes these things just happen!
Overall, this was a great place to stay and I would not hesitate to book this apartment again. I highly recommend staying here.
Lovely little town and apartment. Had a little trouble finding the place initially as the building housing the basement apartment is undergoing renovation with scaffolds all around. It's a fully serviced apartment, very comfortable with a well supplied kitchen and 2 bathrooms. As its a basement apartment, daylight is limited but u go traveling for the most part of the day anyway so it's not a big issue. It's well located, within walking distance (less than 15mins) to the town centre and train station.
