My experience was great! I didn't get to meet Jane but Alessandro met us outside the apartment, which was very very easy to get to from Tibertina thanks to the crystal clear directions Jane provided for us. He gave us a tour of the place and showed us on a map where to go eat, where nightlife happened, and which public transportation to take. The beds were comfortable, and he bought us new drinking glasses to use if we wanted. Nothing wrong at all with this weekend stay!
Great host. Very helpful and the directions to the apartment were very clear. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Close to the Vatican City and all means of transportation. I highly recommend this place.
The flat was very spacious and ideally set up for either a family or group of friends exploring Rome. We were met by Jane's friend Alessandro who showed us how everything worked and also a brief description of local shops and places of interest. It was also a real bonus having the portable wifi modem to use throughout our stay, a fantastic idea. The verandah on the back of the apartment would be awesome in summer to relax with a wine/beer after exploring Rome for the day.
The area was within a 5 minute walk to the Metro with bus at the corner. A supermarket is just around the corner and great restaurants in the neighbourhood and not to expensive.
Jane/Alessandro replied quickly to all correspondence and also informed us directly after leaving a passport in the flat.
All in all a great first experience with Airbnb and will definitely be recommending this flat to all our friends coming to Rome.
L'appartamento di Jane è grande e comodo, e corrisponde alla descrizione. Lo consiglio alle famiglie numerose e a chi deve trovare una sistemazione vicino al Vaticano.
The house was very accommodating and comfortable all in all. It actually is very spacious and perfect to have people over for dinner, even though there weren't many plates or glasses. The terrace is very big even though it faces the inside of other buildings. Jane wasn't in Italy when we arrived so Alessandro welcomed us and was extremely kind and open to any explanation!
Le logement était comme décrit dans le site web. Les lits sont excellents. Le quartier est calme et très proche du Vatican. Tout le centre de Rome est accessible à pied: en 5 jours de visite, nous n'avons jamais utilisé de moyens de transport.
The flat is very fine and spacious. The terrace is huge and the rooms nice also. We stayed 6 days and felt us very comfortable. The Internet though does not exist ! Its like being in a flat where there is no hot water. We never met Jane either, but there was a replacement (a guy) to open for us. He could not fix the Internet though. It was also strange that the host only supplied 6 glasses in total (and none of these wine glasses).
So given all these minor glitches, we think this was only a 3 star experience.
