We spent a great time in Rome. First of all the location of the studio is fantastic; near both the center of the city and the Vatican. During our whole stay we only walked; there was no need to take a bus or a taxi to go somewhere in the center.
The apartment was comfortable as well, just how described by Federico. The kitchen was convenient and equipped with everything one needs to a have a good breakfast. The bathroom was clean and nice. Claudia was a very helpful and amiable person, she was kind enough to wait for us more than an hour as we couldn't manage to arrive in time. As we didn't have a cell phone in Rome, we communicated with her via email. She also recommended good restaurants and places to visit in the neighbourhood.
We really enjoyed our stay, and I will choose this apartment in my next stay in Rome without hesitation. I greatly recommend it !
This was such an adorable apartment! Great great neighborhood! So many restaurants, bars, and gelato. We walked everywhere. Never needed to take a bus. We did take a taxi to tremini station, only because it was cheap and didn't want to deal with our bags on a crowded bus. This was a perfect apartment. But, there is one complaint. If noise bothers you, this is not the place for you. It is right on the street and next to the door for people coming and going in the building. It was def loud, but we loved everything else so much, including the price, that it did not bother us.
This apartment is in a great location (walkable to all the major sites) and Federico is prompt, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. We were disappointed that the apartment didn't have air conditioning despite being advertised on this site as having it, since we only searched for apartments with air conditioning (we stayed in August). But when we asked for a fan, Federico lent us one within hours and our stay was comfortable. Because the apartment is next to an apartment building (or maybe a dorm?) for international students who drank and smoked in front of the window late at night, it was too loud have the windows open.
This apartment was comfortable and close to all the action in the Trastevere neighborhood without being directly in all of the chaos. The kitchen was well equipped with a washer and dryer, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, etc,, and it was easy to deal with the owners of the apartment. I mostly dealt with Federico online, but his friend Claudia while I was there. She was very friendly and helpful.
I was a little surprised that this apt is on the ground floor, and it was right next to the main door to the apartment building, so you could hear some street noise (mostly people passing and the occasional car) and the door to the main building which would slam shut whenever people came or went, however, I put in some earplugs at night and it never bothered me. Although there were windows for ventilation in the kitchen and over the main glass door you see in the picture, there were no windows that looked out at something, so I felt just a little bit claustrophobic, However I stayed there for 5 weeks so this might have been why.
The bed was comfortable and there is a small couch type seat that can easily be turned into a small single bed if you want to accommodate another person.
Over all, it was spacious, clean and cute, and it was a pleasant stay. It was in a great location and affordable for Rome. I would recommend this apartment.
Our stay in Trastavere was wonderful! Even though we were late to meet Claudia after getting off at the wrong train station, Claudia and Claudio were quite kind and helpful in getting us settled. The ground-floor apartment is quite nice sized, and the kitchen was more than enough to meet our needs. The apartment is located just a three minute walk away from an area with lots of restaurants, bars and cafes, and just beyond that is the main road with busses that will get you anywhere in the city that you need to go. We really enjoyed having this apartment as our home base in Rome, and would go back in a heartbeat!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The location is perfect--in a quieter part of Trastevere but close to many restaurants and within easy walking distance from most tourist attractions. The internet worked just fine. The size of the common areas and the bathroom was quite spacious for the 2 of us. There was even a washing machine that we used to wash our clothes! Our only source of discomfort was some nighttime noise from the street, but with all the windows closed, the sound was not too loud.
We drove into Rome after arriving in Bari by ferry from Croatia. Driving into Rome was a huge mistake, and we were 1 1/2 hours late meeting Claudia at the apartment! However, she was extremely gracious and nice about the whole thing, and she even helped us figure out where to park the car overnight. Federico was also very responsive by email while we were making our arrangements. Only other thing for potential guests to be aware of is that we had to communicate with Claudia via telephone rather than email, so if you do not have a cell phone you can use in Italy, it may be mildly inconvenient since it is almost impossible to find public telephones now.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay at this studio again. Grazie mille per tutto, (website hidden) ha piachuto molto l'appartamento!
