Upstairs loft apartment in a newly renovated and restored heritage house for holiday rental. In the heart of Nelson's historic Uphill district, within walking distance of the town center (5 min), Gyro Park and Pool (2 min.), Lakeside Park Beach (20 min.), local bus (1 min.) and Mountain Station biking trails (15 min. ride up, 3 min ride down!!). It has taken us 20 years to truly do what we wanted to with this house- open up the 9 foot attic and build a loft with a beautiful lakeview, making a cool and chic space for a summer or winter holiday. Whitewater Ski resort (email hidden) drive, Ainsworth Hot Springs 47 km.
The house has one double bed, two single beds and a sofa bed. Private parking, a shed and basement storage for skis or bikes, a large yard, fully equipped bathroom and kitchen; bedding provided. Entrance is through the front door on Silica St. Minimum stay is three nights.
Come discover a town with a fascinating blend of hip, quirky, unpretentious and progressive minded people. I have lived in many places and few compare for the quality of living and the creative energy amongst its local population.

There were six of us that stayed here, and we had a wonderful time! The house was perfect and had everything in stock that one would need. We didn't meet Paul, but we met the young man who manages the house, and he was very kind. This house is located in the best part of Nelson, within short walking distance to the centre. Loved staying here, and will certainly stay again.
We stayed in Red Brick House for 8 days and every day and night were equally enjoyable. Cozy and family friendly interior of the house reminded us our own home. Very convenient location, - a walking distance to Nelson downtown and a park with a swimming pool for children. Very positive experience overall. Cudos to the host!
Great place to stay, awesome location. The house has been lovingly restored and its obvious the amount of work that has gone into it. Good info about Nelson and things to do is provided. Paul was amazing to us before we arrived, keeping in contact regularly and even provided us a list of things to do with our children, many of which we did.
Paul was extremely accommodating and patient with my last minute request and my technical difficulties! The apartment was terrific with great views out the master loft and a great location!
I had a fantastic stay in the Red Brick House in Nelson. Perfectly located for all the downtown amenities and a short walk to Gyro Park. On arrival and departure Pete was really helpful and the apartment was clean, tidy and very comfortable. I was lucky enough to experience beautiful weather during my stay and enjoyed evenings dining on the balcony overlooking Nelson. Definitely recommended.
très jolie, très bien située, propre et acceuillante
We had a great time at the Red Brick House. It was perfect for our ski weekend with our kids. It is well laid out, amenities are good, kitchen is well stocked. Location is awesome. Paul and the local manager were easy and pleasurable to work with. We look forward to staying here again!
The location of this property is perfect - just minutes from downtown and yet on a quiet street. The apartment is really well-equipped except for one or two things: we couldn't find bedding for the sofa bed and there was no WiFi. This may not matter to some, but we all needed access to the internet in order to contact friends in town (there is no telephone at the apartment).
In the listing, it said that we would be getting the whole house, where in fact it is the top floor apartment. It wasn't an issue as I knew we had 2 bedrooms and the downstairs tenants were very quiet (we didn't know they were there).
We did have an issue with some soiled bedding which the landlord was very quick to try to resolve (there was a mystery surrounding the source of some stains on the pillow cases and wall in the bedroom). Eventually, the landlord refunded a small portion of our stay in a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience of having to change the linen
