About this listing

Where else can you wake up to a view of Longhorn Cattle grazing in the pastures? This is a bright and clean modern studio with a great view in a fabulous location just minutes from Valley Ford, Bodega Bay, Sebastopol, Petaluma, Freestone, Occidental and Russian River wineries. Day Trip from West Sonoma County!

The space

Our spacious Studio feels a bit like a treehouse! Perched alone, separate from the main house, it is a private space with fantastic views. The Studio is 600sf large so there is plenty of room inside should you feel like waltzing or doing yoga. There is a queen sized Tempurpedic bed for sleeping and a long comfy couch for napping. A kitchenette houses a counter-height refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, hot water kettle and Keurig coffee maker.
On your first morning with us we will provide you with a light breakfast. Outside there is a deck where you can sit and watch the sunset or enjoy morning coffee.
In your Welcome book you will find a Regional Parks Pass to use during your stay. This allows you to enter or park for free at any of Sonoma County's many regional parks, including Doran Beach.

Please, no children. Our Studio is an adult haven. If you wish to bring your children please book our Bunkhouse. Thanks for understanding!

Guest access

Guests are welcome to walk around the ranch, pet the horses and talk to the cows. We do ask that guests not enter the barn or the pastures without a host.

Interaction with guests

I aways have at least a brief conversation via airbnb with my guests before arriving and try to be present to greet them when they arrive. After that I give them privacy but am available to answer questions, make dinner recommendations etc. We may also (time and animals cooperating) introduce our guests to our horses and longhorn cattle.

Other things to note

*We are sorry but we aren't accepting pets or children at this time :-(
*Our studio is not ADA compliant and there are stairs to the unit.
**We also have a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen and washer/dryer that sleeps 5 persons (children welcome!). Great for couples traveling together, families and wedding weekends. Book both for a 7 person vacation!

Our biggest rule here is to relax and enjoy yourself!
Some other rules are...Please no smoking (unless it's an e-cig) and no open flames of any kind. A barn full of hay, dry grasses, a wooden house and plentiful winds make smoking on the ranch a bad idea. Pretty much the rules here are the same here as at your mom's house. Be respectful, no wild parties, clean up after yourself, respect the animals, drive slowly on the driveway and the number 1 ranch rule, don't leave gates open!
We are sorry but at this time we are not accepting pets and our units are not ADA compliant.
Also we are on a septic system and well water so please read the handbook in the unit regarding proper use of our systems and abide. Thanks!

The studio was great! It was much bigger than we had anticipated, well furnished, super clean! We absolutely loved the natural light, with numerous windows and the view on the ranch and rhe long horns. Kristine and Dave were amazing hosts, very pleasant to talk with, they made the checkin very easy. Our experience was memorable, we only wished we had stayed longer!!

Kristine and Dave's ranch hits all the spaces in "idyllic ranch bingo." Rolling hills? Check. Longhorns? Check. Roosters crowing? Check. Quiet and peaceful? Check. Friendly and helpful hosts? Check. Delicious farm fresh breakfast delivered promptly at 9am? Check. The studio is modern and beautifully decorated with incredible views. We had more than enough space. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchenette was well equipped, and the place was spotless. Beautiful bathroom as well. Thoughtful in every detail. Kristine - thank you again for a wonderful and relaxing weekend. We can't wait to visit again!

Kristine's studio is wonderful! The space itself is very clean, comfortable, well-lit, spacious-feeling, and with thoughtful touches throughout. Quality. Comfortable bed. The location was perfect for me- I wanted to explore Bodega Head and Sebastopol on my short trip to the area, and also be close to Point Reyes for the next leg of my journey. I could do all easily from Twisted Ranch. And it was a treat returning to such a tranquil, comfortable place after a day of exploring. Wish I could have stayed longer. Christine was very friendly, warm and welcoming, and communicative. I would stay here again. In a heart beat.

This was one of our best Airbnb experiences. The studio is beautiful, quiet and spotless and Kristine is the perfect host. Easy check-in, great communication and a relaxed atmosphere. We had a fantastic weekend at the Twisted Horn Ranch and especially enjoyed sitting on the porch at the end of the day and enjoying the beautiful view and landscape. Thank you, Kristine!

We had a fantastic time. The studio is perfect for all of your needs, and the french omelette Kristine thoughtfully brought us on our first morning kicked off our trip in exactly the right way. If you're the kind of person who wants to close the blinds and sleep the day away, this place isn't for you. But if you're the kind of person who likes to rise in the morning excited for the day to start, this is the perfect place!

Fantastic place. Kristine was very helpful. Though, we didn't want for much in that fantastic place. The studio shares the same foundation as their main house, but no shared walls. It has beautiful views of the surrounding country side and is quiet apart from the occasional passing tractor.

Kristine User ProfileKristine is a superhost.

I enjoy the ranch life and love to cook. In my spare time I work in the software industry. My husband runs the ranch and also works. We have a busy life with 4 grown sons and a granddaughter, cattle, jobs and our beef business. We enjoy the area we live in and sometimes even find time to ride our horses on the beach!
