Overall, we enjoyed our stay at their apartment. Both hosts were very welcoming and their apartment is in a great location. One issue...the description implies that we have our own bathroom; however, we ended up having to share it with three other people. It really wasn't an issue but it would have been nice to have known that before we placed the booking.
Manfred is a really cool and nice host. He has some great tips for your stay in dublin... and he knows all the good bars and clubs ;-) i'll come back soon
Manfred was traveling so I only met Tom and he showed me around the place. There is a nice café downstairs on the corner and I grabbed a latte and a bite to eat there each day before heading toward city centre. It was a bit of a walk to get to city centre, so I walked to the Mayor Square LUAS stop (about a km) to get to the area I wanted to go each day rather than wait on buses or pay for a taxi, but I also walked to/from the apartment and city centre a few times with no issues. I kept having trouble with the door lock though, and that is likely due to user error! I finally found that if I leaned on the door I could feel the bottom lock unlock and then the top lock would open the door, so I figure I should share that knowledge with future travelers. :)
Had a great stay with Manfred. He was very helpful & accommodating when my inbound flight was delayed, and just let me get on with my stay once I had arrived. Thanks Manfred!
I am very grateful to Manfred and Tom these days . Manfred is an excellent host and very nice person.
The apartment is very well situated , about a 15 minute walk to the center , and is very welcoming , I recommend to anyone who wanted to spend the fantastic experience that I went through.
Tanks for everything.
We spent a nice long weekend at Manfred's. Although we didn't meet Manfred himself, his roommate Tom took good care of us. The room was exactly as described and the kitchen as well which was spacious and well equipped. Note that if you have a bad back, the bed might be too soft. Big thanks to Tom and Manfred!
