Spacious 1-BR in Carroll Gardens

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Huntington St, Brooklyn, NY 11231, United States

The Space

A large, lovely 1-bedroom floor-through on the second floor of a brownstone in historic Carroll Gardens. I live on a quiet, tree-lined street on the same block as Buttermilk Channel, one of the neighborhood's best restaurants, and a stone's throw from popular joints like Frankie's, Prime Meats, Abilene and Brooklyn Social. Everything in the neighborhood is within walking distance, and the subway is three blocks away -- just a few stops and you're in Manhattan. Street parking is also available.

Carroll Gardens is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in New York, and is brimming with boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops and activities. Carroll Park is close by, and it's a nice walk to the Promenade overlooking Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, Prospect Park, Park Slope, Gowanus, the Brooklyn Museum and the quickly-developing Red Hook waterfront district.

The apartment has modern fixtures, a full-sized bed in an alcove bedroom, a large kitchen (great if you feel like cooking up something you bought at our local farmer's market or one of the butchers or cheesemongers just a few blocks away), a full bathtub in a spacious bathroom, and a very large living space with two couches. Linens and towels also included. Please note that there is no TV in the apartment, but there is wireless internet. I also have a cat, although he will not be in the apartment during your stay and the apartment will be professionally cleaned before your arrival. However, if you are severely allergic, it may be an issue.

  • This was a great spot with plenty of shopping and a good restaurant on every corner. There was quick and easy public transport to neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Jill was friendly and had a speedy response every time I contacted her.
As to be expected in this location there was some street noise, nothing a set of earplugs wouldn't fix.
We only wished we had a longer stay. We'd come back anytime!

  • Jill was unfortunately absent but she arranged everything the way that we had no problems at all. She also provided us with a very handy description of the neighborhood. We had a great time in this cozy appartment!

  • Jill's apartment is clean, cozy, spacious and located in an excellent neighborhood well positioned for an affordable New York get away. Jill is a gracious host and she provided us with great information about local food and drink spots. I was a bit worried about my cat allergies but didn't have any problems staying at Jill's place. Thanks Jill for a great weekend and I would be happy to come back again!

  • Fantastic place to stay with a phenomenal choice of wonderful restaurants, bars and cafés just around the corner. Also, very easy access to Manhattan and everywhere in NY. The subway is 5 minutes away, and the neighbourhood is charming and safe. It's also a remarkable area of New York that might escape you if you chose a Manhattan option.

Most importantly, Jill was super fast in all communications and I was informed immediately regarding the availability of the apartment. All queries were addressed within a few hours. She is someone you can trust without question and is an example of airbnb rentrings at its best.

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well- equipped. I would love to return one day. I miss the place already.
