My apartment was built in the 1930s and has all the charm of an older building such as original hardwood flooring, arch way, 10ft. ceilings, claw foot tub, etc. Yet it is centrally located. You can walk or ride a bike to anything cool to do in the city. Tons of restaurants, bars, clubs, museums, shopping, parks, Med Center, Universities, etc. right around the corner.
Your private room is located on the opposite side of the apartment from the other room so you have privacy. I will leave fruit for you in your room, bread and eggs in the kitchen/refrigerator for breakfast if you request it. You may help yourself to any of the coffee and tea I may have. You also have a desk in the room along with Wifi if you want to use your computer.
You will have a private bedroom. There is one shared bathroom, in which you will have access to a communal hairdryer, straightener, shampoo and such if you have the need for them. I also will have towels and bedding for your use. My house will be your home for the time you are here so make yourself comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, besides a dishwasher, and open for use with plenty of grocery stores around the area if you would like to cook. Parking is very strict but I do have an available spot that can be used if all of the guidelines are followed.
The Greyhound Bus and Megabus stations are around 2 miles away if needed. There is also a special where you don't get charged over $6 to get anywhere in downtown by taxi (ask the taxi driver about it before you ride). If you are coming from the airport there is a bus that takes you nonstop to close to my apartment.
I am a flight attendant so there is a chance you may be here by yourself or with another guest. If that is the case I have a keypad lock on my door and will give you the new combination so you have freedom to come and go as you please while you are here.
My place is so unique because it is peaceful yet in the middle of all that is happening in the city. I hope you decide to come enjoy this beautiful city and all of it's charms in my wonderful apartment. I love it and I know you will too.
Montrose is one of the best neighborhoods in Houston. Plenty of fun things to do any time of the year.
There is a bus stop a couple of blocks away. There is also a place you can rent bikes for cheap right around the corner.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is a fourplex(older home divided into four apartments. So please be respectful of my neighbors, we all know and respect each others.
Some house rules: There is no smoking in the apartment but there is a small patio outside. I do have Wifi. The kitchen is available for your use. I have a record player that you are free to use and any of the records I own (because of the many guests I have had most of the records are scratched). Please no running or loud stomping. No parties or loud music. I have neighbors and don't want them to be bothered. No unknown guests. If you have any other questions just ask and I will let you know :)
Amazing place and so close to everything around downtown Houston! 5 minute drives to the museums and great cafes all around. Stephanie was so helpful during our time there and made sure that we were all situated. The place was lovely and had a vintage-y feel that you can relax in after a long day out!
Staying at Stephanie's apartment was lovely. The interior design is awesome. The place is clean and quiet. The bed is basically the most comfortable bed I have never slept in. Check this place out!
Stephanie's apartment is in a great location in Montrose--a two minute walk to fantastic breakfast and brunch places, gourmet pizza, upscale bistros and more. There's also an automated bike rental kiosk a block away. The apartment itself is welcoming, our bedroom was spacious, with a desk, plenty of lighting, and a closet and iron, so you can unpack for longer stays. We had full access to the kitchen (with a mini guest fridge), and living area. We enjoyed meeting the other guests traveling through, and would definitely stay again. Thanks!
This place was everything I was looking for in my trip, great location near to all of the places I was planning on visiting. I would recommend this place if you are at all interested!
Stephanie's place is awesome, yet again! You should absolutely stay here. Walk to everything rad in Montrose.
In mid-town Houston, with entertainment venues easily accessible by bus (5 to 10 minutes). Room was spacious, house was charmingly decorated, with the only downside being a persistently queer smell (but not due to the level of cleanliness of the rooms, but perhaps the piping/sewage?). Stephanie was a lovely host and very responsive to our needs.
Stephanie is a fantastic person. She was more than understanding about my party and I arriving late and more than willing to give a few directions to local happenings in the area. Let me just say that when you step into her place it's like you're being enveloped by another world. Her flare for decoration is untimely, but in the very best of ways. The space you'll be finding yourself in is gigantic and more than enough, it housed a party of three and we were all more than content. I recommend this place if you're looking for real people and a very lovely environment.

I am a flight attendant that is absolutely in love with traveling and exploring the world. Because of my job it makes the world a very small place for me. I have experienced many ways to travel be it hotel, hostel, camping and now airbnb. I have been using airbnb for two years now and made unforgettable memories and connections all over the world. I am a firm believer in this form of travel and connection with the world and people around us.
I like to think that I am a very positive person and can find fun in most things. I love adventure and to explore life. The more random the better! I love to laugh and play. I am respectful of everyone. I understand that I will be staying in your home and will respect it more than I would even my own place. I will expect the same treatment of my apartment. That being said...there is lots of fun to be had!
