Where you’ll be

Wilmot, New Hampshire, United States

Wilmot is at the heart of one of New Hampshire's most beautiful destinations - tucked under Mt. Kearsarge, close to skiing at Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mountain, swimming and boating at myriad lakes close by from Wilmot's Tannery Pond to Sutton's Kezar Lake to the region's grand body of water, Lake Sunapee. Quintessential New England, with convenient access to the capital city of Concord south as well as the Upper Valley and Dartmouth College north, and the Lakes region with Mt. Washington farther north. Fewer than five miles from two educational institutions, Proctor Academy in Andover and Colby-Sawyer College in New London.

A convenient market for basic food, newspapers, gas and personal items is located within Wilmot, two miles from the cottage, while the town of New London five miles down the road comes with a supermarket, drug store, clothing shops, local playhouse, plus pubs and restaurants.

Hi -- I'm a California girl who grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from Scripps College. My career was in financial services and investment management, where I founded the first creative agency in the country to focus on packaging institutional money managers. Clients ranged from repurposed old standards to innovators coming out the shoot, all aggressively seeking market share. Loved the industry, was lucky in my career success and, in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , at age 60, decided to begin the “return” phase of life -- I flew to Ghana, found a village and started a microlending project. The program evolved into (Website hidden by Airbnb) an NGO integrating microloans for women, education for girls and healthcare. In (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , my focus turned to the second half of WomensTrust’s mission: "to inspire others to do the same elsewhere." Wilmot has been my hometown for more than twenty years. We're about 500+ families with connections across generations and income levels, melding locals with the newly retired. We are known for our hip vibe, with all the amenities of New London right next door and access to multi-season destinations within the greater Lake Sunapee area. You can find me online through LinkedIn and (Hidden by Airbnb) or my website (Website hidden by Airbnb) from my days in investment marketing. Also enjoy learning about the WomensTrust model in a TEDx talk, Power of the Overground Railroad. I do enjoy sharing my remarkable writing cottage here in Wilmot so please press “book” and email me with any questions.
